Modern medicine is far from perfect, I admit; I have been treated with a multitude of medications in life so far in life, some of which that has adversely affected me but the fact remains that smart minds develop these drugs, who instead of conforming to tradition, innovate through scientific discovery, expanding out understandings of the human body. I don't want to be a troll, but youtube provides a forum of free discusion, something than can be used with dignity and intelligence.

@tomlovegod I realise that many get help from this system and as much as I'd like for people feel better in this world, be it mentally or physically I can't see suppressing rational debate relative to its validity - many fork out huge amounts of money on acupuncture without any positive gain; furthermore there's no rational or empirical reason to believe it does anything other than a placebo effect and has done this for 5000 years. I'm well within my rights not to "shut up", this is important.

@magicmiles 5000 years traditional chinese medicine system surpports it. It practised by 5000 years time and billions of people. They found it useful and extract the results. Yeah, it looks weird and outdated but in my view it is the most advanced. what you got from the hospital in your hometown, yeah, looks soooo great, yeah,it is sooo modern, but all of them only tested by animals and have sooo many side effect. So respect. If you dont understand just shut up.

is it possible to use acupuncture if you have a condition called conversion disorder, where your whole body goes stiff and numb due to high stress levels? like, if in the physical aspects, the problem starts out in one hand, then progresses over a few weeks? cuz its gotten to where i lost all feeling in various parts of my body and am DESPERATE for relief!

She forgot to mention Large Intestine 4 (Hagu) is NOT supposed to be used on Pregnant women!!! In china it's used during labor, it can put a woman into labor, and in China they used it for abortions...
