  • What made you decide to take Tysabri? I mean, since its a dangerous drug! Im at the midst of possibly starting Tysabri myself.

  • Caretaking is not a reason to stay together when you're young, but it does weigh in at old age. My father takes care of my mother who's had MS for decades and I know much of it is for the sense of responsibility, although now it's hard to say which one needs the other more as my mother is the one with clearer head and memory. I've got MS too, but I doubt I'll ever find anyone who really believes in the "in sickness and in health" part.

  • @irviki55a Yes it is not reason to stay together at a young age. You may be interested to know that I for one, have met a guy who doesn't care that I have MS and I have now moved in with. Also- i know two MS'ers who are getting married (one in May and one in June) to people who they met after MS. They are not relapse free by any means, and they met amazing people too. They are out there! Thanks for commenting!

  • btw do u know why you find every person hoo has ms beautifull maybe cz we look alike no? :P

    Marlo :-)

  • I take long thought, to be happy for you or sad. OK littel sad and mostly happy. Breakup is never easy. I have had it . I love my independence but miss my great wife.

I AM HAPPY you are feeling good.

  • thank you. It is a double edged sword, but I truly believe everything begins and ends at the exact right time. I am truly still friends with him and we are bandmates. (strangely, our last two gigs were the best we ever had.)

    Thanks again!

    Best,

    Marlo

    nicole

  • Thanks Nicole! ; ) hahaha. I was just watching the gnocchi video on your channel. I need to make that this week!

  • Let me know how it turns out. I watch all these cooking videos thinking, oh i'm definately going to make that and then I never do! Kinda pathetic :)

  • Oh, dear Marlo, these are wonderful news about the Tysabri! I am so happy to hear you saying that you like this medicine and that you have already seen some improvements!

I am sorry to hear about you and your husband splitting up.

I wish you the very best and thank you for sharing your life and your MS stories with us. Take good care and good luck with Tysabri!

  • Hi, Im so lucky I found your videos. Today I got bad news,my MRI looks much worse even with avonex (ok took it just 3 m now) but I feel its just getting worse and worse, esp my walking. I REALLY want to try Tysabri now before it gets worse. My life is still ahead!

Its good to hear soo many peoople are amazed with it!

So good luck and looking forward to see ur videos:-) They are really cool.

PS: and you are beautiful as well if I may say this (Im a girl, dont worry, wont ask for a date ..haha)

  • Thanks so much for your post! Your life is still ahead indeed! Are you asking your doctor about Tysabri? I was on rebif and avonex for a long time and did quite well, but if you are not doing well on the injections, I completely understand your wanting to try this drug.

    Let me know what happens.

    Thanks for your compliments! LOL!

    Marlo

  • good luck :-)

    kiss marlo

    I think of you :-)

  • Sooo sorry to hear about the breakup, but sooo happy to hear that youre doing well on Tysabri. Keep up the videos - Ive missed them. ANNNNND.. I just ordered your book on Amazon! It says it will be delivered by July 15th - cant WAIT to read it. :)

  • Catchy Tysabri ditty, wish I could improv a ditty for my treatment too. Soz to hear you're under the weather again, get well soon. Hope to catch you and your band's next live performance. Speak to U in a bit!

  • So happy to hear you are loving the Tysabri. For me it has been a lifesaver. Now I only have to deal with the MS, and no more having to deal with the horrendous side effects of the treatment. My brother teaches at U of Greenwich - so if the launch party is open to the public I will send him over (he needs to learn more about having MS and being fabulous).

  • That is really great that Tysabri is working for you!! I am starting Tysabri in a little over a week! I am so excited and scared all at the same time!

It would be nice to know how you are doing more specifically, like what particular problems you had before Tysabri and how they improved (or if they stayed the same). Thanks a lot!

  • Sorry to hear about your breakup, but I'm so glad to hear the Tysabri has been helping! I think I got skipped on the 'good-looking' MS gene, but I have noticed that on most peoples' YouTube videos!

  • Hi Marlo, so reassuring to hear your experience with Tysabri. Go 'the gene' we are such awesome people! Will send message soon XXX Kerri

  • Hey Marlo, I have been watching all of your videos (fantastic jobs). I am 28, in the (rather slow) process of being diagnosed. Unfortunately in my small town medical workers, patients have never even heard of this drug. I am a bit reluctant to ask my neuro (the only one in the town) of it, for fear he will look at me like I was an alien, I think he will be sceptical about it. At present I am hoping for injection treatment asap, for I just had a rather painful attack on my leg. Wish you the best.

  • Hi rapogy28

Good for you keeping on top of things yourself! My neuro had never heard of Copaxone!!! Still, I'm getting the treatment I need for now, and I'm sure if you work at it, you will, too.

  • Yes, but if things keep up like this, I am afraid migration will be the ultimate solution :-)

    thanx for the comment

  • It's an upheaval to migrate, isn't it? I hope you find the help you need. It's sad that you have to be responsible for figuring out how to get help while you're sick. I have just gone through that, and I am guessing it might be an ongoing thing for me for a while. Hang in there! I hope things stabilize!

  • OMG I am sooo happy for you!! so pleased you are loving Tysabri!! I have seen how great it is from others too, so me next, me next!! fingers crossed I get considered!!

I too would LOVE to go to your book launch, I am in Swindon which isnt far! and I am very excited to read it!!

sorry to hear that you and hubby are parting, but it is nice to see that it is on good terms

    much love to you hun

  • I would really love to go to your book launch, or at least read it, so I'll definitely be buying it :-)

  • I'm so glad you are feeling better!!

  • Yay, tysabri! My neuro vaaaguely hinted that it wasn't impossible at the VA. I'm currently trying to talk her into recommending a body-lift, because my loose skin from weight loss makes me a hard stick for lumbar punctures.

I can't wait for your book to hit Amazon :)

Rich, famous, beautiful and healthy is in your cards, darling.

  • Hmmm. I hate to hear you and your husband are splitting up. It will be different than you guys imagine it.

  • I am so happy Tysabri is working for you. It has to be great not having to stab yourself all of the time.

I am really looking forward to your book! I am so excited for you.

    xx
