If you are thinking about doing this, THINK TWICE it is a huge scam and they will charge you $3400 - 6500.00 for this plus $29-39 for hosting the only problem is they just take your money and don't help you make any!!! I was taken for $6000.00 and then after 1 yr they lock you out of your account unless you pay more blood money every month to have access to try and make this crap work.
My father uses this exact program. His business was on the brink of collapse. If it was not for this program, he would be tanked. His business is now more effective than ever and has been making a killing. I am not lying to you guys, I have no reason too. Its not a scam. Its not a magic program thats going to make you rich instantly. It still takes hard work and dedication.
I bought the program. I now have a very successful website that markets college supplies. Fact.. if you don't want to work, you will NOT make money. That is why those complaints were filed. Stores on line does not tell you that you will get rich without doing any work. In fact, they insist you do the work and they teach you how. You will always find people who expect something for nothing. I will tell you right now, my one complaint is that my kids are getting used to the money I make.
@FaithBlack2001 Oh, & if you want PROOF that you can google it & do it yourself, my mom is not at all computer savy, but she put together her own website on a free hosting site & has set up the SEOs on her site all by herself. You can't look up anything related to bath & body products without finding my mom's site within the first 3 pages, & she did it all FREE. It's just a matter of doing your research & finding out how it's done. I'll have to send it to you in a message, if you'd like to see.
I think it's inappropriate to stand outside the event "gathering" your information over the phone. You seem like a very good investigative reporter, but the emotion around doing that at the event lost your credibility. The BBB has never impressed me - they provide nothing in exchange - give them money and they will do nothing -either for the consumer or the business.

I just recently attended the final seminar of theirs. Although they ask quite a large amount of money for the software and I could not afford it, I surely would have if I could. I do not have a stores online business, so I am not biased towards them. The BBB, on the contrary, is the one that needs to be watched. Businesses have been buying A's for years. I'm an aspiring journalist and I am embarrassed for news stations like this one who report on stories that have no real foundation.
I purchased 5 websites in '07 after attending a seminar.I did my reasearch, opened a store in 2/2008,optimized,linked, added directories & spent tons of my own money.I am closing my store tomorrow & will be done w/SOL. The software was easy to learn & use, update, etc. I had no problems.I do have some misgivings about how "easy" SOL made it seem I'd be able to open & run 5 successful stores.I'm bright, articluate, energetic;but 5, no way. That's the part I would advise others to look at carefully.
My mom & I just went to a seminar today. It was a free seminar, however, my mom ended up paying $99 today so that we can go to another seminar that is supposed to last all day. At the seminar we've paid for, we're supposed to learn how to put our company's website at the top of the google search engine, as well as at the top of the list in other search engines. Is this all day seminar going to be worth it, or should I tell her to go get her money back?
@FaithBlack2001 REALLY!! I went to today to the first one and paid 139.00 for the second seminar. You don't get you money back so you should just go any way. If nothing else you are supposed to get a free computer.
@Nasjen That was posted 5 months ago. 4 months ago, we went to that seminar. It was a complete waste. Yeah, we got a free computer, but it's a POS. That's not a brand, that's short for PIECE OF SHIT! More than that, we didn't go over ANYTHING that they said we would in the seminar. They spent the whole 8 hours going over how much money we could make if we bought a website from them, which was the same exact crap that we went over in the free seminar.
@FaithBlack2001 More than that, you'd think that for 99 bucks & 8 hours, they could at least give us some lunch or something, but we didn't even get water.
Oh, & we did get the mp3 player too, but what they don't tell you is that you have to sign up for the second seminar before you get it... in the MAIL. & it comes pre-loaded (FULL) with a bunch of songs in what I think is Portuguese. You have to delete the songs off it before you can upload any because it comes completely full.
@Nasjen I'll do you one better: All the information they give you in the seminar (what little of it there is) on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & all that stuff, you can find online, FOR FREE. Hell, google gives you a manual for how to use their SEO search engine, you just have to do your own research. Then you don't have to waste $100 & 8 hours. Good luck to you!
I have been a Storesonline customer since the late 1990's. The company has had it's challenges over the years, but its a great tool and I have been able to retire on my income from my site. Most people are too lazy to do the work and think they will get rich overnight. And that's the problem with most of the complaints....If you are too lazy to do the work, you shouldn't sign up. Michelle...you should check out my SOL business and redo your story. SOL is not a scam and I highly recommend them

this chink zipper-head reporter is a fukin gook and is extremely narrow minded and only reporting one side to the story!!! fukin rice picking fish-head eater!!
If I could get all the money back I would - but I'm afraid that will not be possible as it was purchased because I asked her to way back around the end of 1997.
Due to the recession and as a way of getting another form of income.
Yes what do they mean by the software. You just enter your license number and your password and it's all online.
Do not get involved with this company. They are scammers who take advantage of people who don't know a lot about e-commerce or the internet.. Do your research in the internet and ecommerce, most of the information is available for free. If you're stuck in a contract I would just stop paying.
@jmkaep I have attended the seminar in my area just last night. The guy sounded professional. Sadly, Storesonline people are targeting inexperienced people about eCommerce as an attempt to make money off of them beyond reasonable price including the monthly fee for the webstore. :-( I would stay clear of that, and would rather sign up for Yahoo Merchant, or Fortune3 which are good. Then, I would promote it through SEO like Google and buy traffics to my web.
That makes a whole one of you out there. The BBB in Utah has them rated F. States Attorney Generals from Utah, California, Oregon, Illinois, Indiana and others have gotten rulings against them. They have over 700 disputes on the BBB website. Check it out for yourself folks. Save yourself some time and money and headaches.
My retard mother bought this crap for 6000 dollars! She called me like "I bought this website blah blah". I asked how much it cost. When she told me I was in utter shock. My mom is usually very smart, but not this time. UGH now we're screwed :(
I am an independent IT Professional, not affiliated with StoresOnLine and I find this is a legitimate company.
As this video never had a follow-up report, please note another investigation site, Rip-Off Report Investigation, already shows that StoresOnline & iMergent is fulfilling its commitment to provide excellent customer service. Rip-off Report gives StoresOnline a POSITIVE rating in customer support and quality assurance.
I did my homework on this and I found out that there are about 300 complaints about this company online but there are over 150,000 people with a website with stores online that are making money.
Thats less than half of half of a percent of people with this program.
There is no software to send to you. You just go to their website and enter your site number and password; which they give you when you initially sign up.
This may be true now, but when I talked to the president of the company, he said he would be glad to send us the software for a trial. I gave him our address, but it never came. There was no more correspondence.

great work on this! I check these guys out, and luckily cancelled as soon as I found out about all the extra fees that they do not tell you about. Do not give these guys 5 mins of your time, or your money! Only thing worth your time is learning about marketing. Go ahead and show up for the info, but DO NOT SIGN UP!!!!!!
HAHA just went to one of their seminars in new zealand. they are selling their software and their platinum package for $7200 NZD. lol......in this video they are only selling for 50 USD what a scam lol
The promised "Dinner" was a sub and a little salad and the I-pod Shuffle looking Mp3 player turned out to be a cheaply repackaged Chinese clone with 256Mb of memory. I knew it would be like that, but still wanted to see for myself. Lots of people came just for the free stuff. In the end I did feel somehow cheated though even though I didn't get their software.

What was that for 50.00 bucks. My 1 site was purchased on a special offer they said they were promoting for 1900.00 GBP.
To be honest there are a great deal many web site creation packages out there now that you can do one yourself for absolutely virtually nothing.
