Not bad,, but I think it lacks the soul that John was digging into on the original,, he wrote this song after he went to primal scream therapy and on his recording you can really hear it,, his screams at the end come from the depths of his soul sort of like a cleansing of all the hurt and feelings of abandonment that he had from his childhood and his mother dying,, I just can't help but feel that Christina is just performing

It's a cover! It can't be the original, duh! Nothing can beat John Lennon's version, cus it's his song. But either you try to appreciate what Christina, with all HER talent, has done with the song, when SHE sings it. I personally like her voice and I liked the cover fine, but I do think she overdid it slightly with too much wailing at the end, I generally think she tends to do that too much sometimes, but there were some really good moments there to. Go Christina!

As far as Lennon covers go, this is quite good. I was interested to hear how Aguilera would handle the end where Lennon sings "Mama dont go, Daddy come home". Cool to see she took that part in a different direction, where Lennon sounded as if he mixed the longing and sadness with anger (but sounded AWESOME!), Aguilera just added the sadness with soul. Very well-suited; obviously nothing can touch the original from Lennon, but as far as Lennon covers go, damn good i say.....Very well done
