This movie kicks ass! I'm not comparing, but if you guys want to know about dirty cops in Rio, try to get Tropa de Elite subtitled. There is Tropa 1 and 2 already. Both are awesome! 1 is extra violent while 2 is more political, but both give an idea of how things really are with police in Brazil...

Well you can't really compare the two, as they are both on different sides of the law. Whereas with Tony Montana you got a man who started with nothing as a Cuban immigant who built his way up to the top, but the top corrupted him. On the other hand you have Alonzo Harris, a cop that probably started with the right in mind. Sometimes doing the "right" thing means doing the wrong thing, and Alonza got caught up in the game.
