I remember the Malden Mills fire. Even though I was living in Nantucket.

Maybe the WBZ 1995 news theme as you hear at the beginning of the video sounds like Outlaw News by Stephen Arnold Music, which was most famously heard at KDFW in Dallas.

I was shooting video from the helicopter that night. It was very hot in the chopper every time it hovered over the blaze!

Did you cover the "live" footage, or the opening footage?

I was on the live night camera in the chopper. Hot as hell up there over the flames...

And I remember that the pilot that night was new to flying SkyEye. Kinda green, but he did a good job!!!

This was ond of the coldest winters ever. I was in 8th grade at the time, and remember my Mom was working close to there and was off for a week because the flames were so close to where she worked.

I was with the Hanscom AFB fire department at the time and I responded with our HAZMAT unit. The Unit had a mobile air resupply system.
