At first I did not like the idea of having a sequel of "The Real Ghostbusters". I liked the first series so much. But, after all, it is not bad at all.
@Tala9K Yea I know but they could keep them looking the way it was hell made them look more like the movies and I didn't like the throwing of the trap I didn't like it. But yea I miss the sound of ecto as well
dude this brings back merories this was my favorite show as a kid i miss it. the ghost were actually put a lot of thought into some i pictured in a Stephen King book and the characters had class and personallity thanks for the upload
I remember this episode from years ago, being the first Extreme Ghostbusters episode I'd ever seen (at first not knowing it even was so). I almost teared up at the fact of the original and true Ghostbusters separating.
I liked this show story but this show would have been better if they hadn't changed three very important things.Ecto One I loved that siren sound,Ghost Traps and the most important thing of all the proton packs.
i had forgoten all about it for years but after playing the new ghostbusters game i remember it. this cartoon had great story and visuals and wasent like the garbage they call a kids she these days. its subject matter was somewhat seriouse for a kids cartoon and they really put thought into the series.
hell some of the ghosts even seemed like stuff H.R giger would do or clive barker would make.
as ray stanz said "some people have trouble beleiving in the paranormal" but you have a strong point after mr stay pft ran around you'd there would be photos and video tapings of that stuff. But ultimatelt its a cartoon and bot meant to taken seriously (basic cartoon logic that what it is).
Ah.....Extreme Ghostbusters....It does bring backs memories.....Now i'm 15 back in 10 years ago that means i'm 5 disney showed it be4 and i scared of it while i'm intersede in this animated series...ANyways thx 4 posting it i very apperisated!!!^^
thanks but like i said i honestly had no idea it was on disney until well after the show quit airing. But i have the wholeseries on DVD (a bootleg but i highly good one)
after combing the internet i came up w/1 answer and its the same reason that killed Godzilla: The Series.... the Pokemon VS Digimon/Montser Rancher war between Fox Kids and Kids WB during 97-00. Godzilla and the XGB got shuffled around so much 3 Godzilla eps never got aired. At the time i didn't care but now as i got older i thought they killed a good show and i miss it.
Because if you saw the guy in the wheelchair "thugged out" and versed in the vernacular of the streets, the first thing in your mind would say: "What the hell is this 'wigger' doing in this show?" Don't rule out that possibility.
That's different. That would be a person embracing a stereotype. Instead, a black person who does NOT act all like "dey see me rollin', dey hatin'" is a person rejecting a stereotype.
As an educated African-American, I am disgusted by the representation of my people, by this unimaginable "Uncle Tom." "Easy A, I'm sorry I really don't follow rap music too much?" What the hell? People all over the world have either heard or embraced a style of rap, this is pathetic and disingenous. I thank Disney for not portraying him as a typical athlete/thug from a broken home, but damn, homie's a straight up "brother" (not brotha) from Westgate.
He mean's he doesn't follow all the various artists. He has heard of rap music but maybe he just doesn't like it. I know what rap music is but I can't stand listening to it.
@ Shiningfan and 1991NickC, as an African-American, it is hard for me to fathom such an unrealistic character such as Roland. So what if I noticed him, it's my God-given right to observe whatever it is that I see and what I saw was a YOUNG BLACK COLLEGE STUDENT who did not follow rap music. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy artists like Led Zepp, Maroon 5, and Bon Jovi, but even the most suburbanite kids who reside in a town no one's heard of likes "some form" of rap, Golden Age, Coast conflicts, etc.
youve got a very closed minded way of observing things then, im sure there are some urban, suburban kids who dont like it, the statistics of everyone liking it are pretty low, considering the ammount of kids in america and the UK alone
I am not close minded, I am intuitive and realistic. From my viewpoint, Roland is the culmination of everything that is not representitive of the Black community. As I said before, I'm glad he was not type-casted as a thug from a broken home, but to cast him as some out of the loop young Black adult is atrocious. I'm intelligent and young, but that doesn't mean I have forgotten where I come from. Imagine a White student coming in and saying he didn't follow some form of Rock music much.
it dosent mean everyone likes the same thing, if you think all black kids like rap, and i mean ALL black kids, your deluded, granted its unlikely but there will be at LEAST a couple who dont like rap, just as there will be white kids that dont like rock
I did not say all Black kids liked rap, but let's take a look at the dynamics of Roland. He's young, Black, a college student, and a resident in New York City (the birthplace of rap/Hip-Hop). It would be disingenous to say he's not more inclined to LIKE rap music, whereas if he resided in Arizona, it would be more acceptable. I hate to say it, but you cannot understand where I'm coming from until you've been in my shoes and understand the differences between people and their environments.

Why do some people in New York have trouble believing in the supernatural after what the Ghostbusters did?

I'm moderately displeased is all. I mean even a White man would laugh at his lost "blackness." Brother has no soul.
