The Ganges is a disgusting cesspool of human filth and remains. It makes me sick that Indians still encourage tourists to visit it. If we Londoners told all the tourists to go dunk their heads in the sewer there might be a bit of an outrage. Karl should have refused, it's annoying to constantly see western journalists putting themselves at risk just to placate the local culture.
