He wasn't wasted, he was not feeling well. He's human you know. Randy apologized for it on his facebook page. He certainly does not make them look "bad." Many people go to those shows specifically to see Randy perform. I've seen these shows numerous times and they were all great.
Cintron sounded great! after the song, they took a 15 minute break in the middle of the concert to figure out what to do. They ended up getting lyric sheets to every song, took away Randy's guitars and GEORGE CINTRON sang the rest of the concert. If you never knew he wasnt the lead singer, you never would have known. George sounded amazing and he was a lifesaver to the show. If you ask me, ide say Randy was a little wasted and should never be allowed to make the band look bad again.
It was very odd actually... singer came out and just started singing but during the first song, he kept walking on and off the stage still singing. Second song in they play kashmir and it seemed like he forgot the lyrics of the song halfway through. He waled off stage after he stopped and never came out. Symphony continued playing and after a little while the lead guitarist, GEORGE CINTRON!, started singing and...^^^^^
I just saw this group in Dayton Ohio April 2 and it was actually better than the LZ recording... DO NOT miss this concert tour - my band did LZ back in 1969 ...
Well done, but the singers phrasing is not consistent with the tempo, and the mood of the original. But still very good (I'd say better than the Zep live version from 1979)
But then again why would any1 care about the opinion of a Bonzo like me.
Singing question was directed to skamaster48 further below.
The singer is Randy Jackson of Zebra (early 80s rock trio) He also plays lead guitar. They're from Louisiana. Search for "Zebra Who's Behind the Door" and play the one were a bunch of suite are hovering over a PC (ignore the cheezy video). Up until that time, they were the fastest selling debuet on Atlantic record.
I found it skamaster - mike White does sound more like Plant, but Randy isn't a "tribute" singer. So he's not trying to sing like Plant. This is how Randy sings even his own stuff.
Yeah they're good.

I just saw this show last week. It was outstanding. If it comes to your town and you like Led Zep you need to see it.
