  • Very impressive. Keep up the good work!

  • bien fait. grande pour votre âge. Je peux jouer cette chanson pour. C'est une chanson très importante pour l'âme.

  • 10 years and so good playing .

  • Very good how u've played this lovely piece

Keep playing; u'll turn into a great pianist.

  • es fantástico Rebecca, realmente precioso!

  • this is awesome. i just started this piece.....

  • bravissima!!!!complimenti!!!continua a suonare e non buttare via il talento che Dio ti ha regalato!

  • Muito bom Rebecca!

Parabéns pela dedicação e excelente execução!!

  • Very good. Very good. However...something I would try to do is slow down a little bit and take your time. Not trying to cut you up. Very good. Also... it was the last nocturne he wrote, I believe. Or at least, that's what Ive heard. I could be wrong. And one more tip...at the end try and draw it out. Think of it as his last words, and make them sing. Once again, not trying to cut you up. You did excellent. Never stop making music. :)

  • @Conquerorofall I stand corrected. I just looked it up, and it WAS one of the first written. sorry...

  • Well done Rebecca. Really enjoyed the music you played. Keep practicing!!! ^^

  • Your playing is very good but a little too mechanical, you need to slow down in certain parts* of the song so as to draw out or savor each chopin note, and play more with feeling, that a machine could not do. i.e. - Throw the metronome away with this song. Thank You. *Chopin was very meticulous and thorough in his musical compositions. Look at the sheet music very carefully and make sure you understand what each symbol or word means. It's probably written in there.

  • You are wonderful, Rebecca. I enjoyed your playing so much.

  • BRAVO: you played and I could tell you were into it and enjoying the piece..made me wish you were my daughter and I could sit and listen to you play all day. That 'big' smile at the end was great too..keep having fun and enjoy yourself..I think one day you will compose your own piece. LOL

  • Very well Miss Rebecca.

  • your awesome, keep up the good work

  • Great job! keep on playing =]

    - violin-

  • Your skills are really impressive considering your age. Keep on. But in future please be more aware of what kind of music you're actually playing ;-)

    Five *****

  • Classic song? Argh.. first of all it's classicAL, not classic. And then this composition is neither classical nor is it a song. The Classical period refers to the time of Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven. Chopin belongs to the Romantic era. Then a song is something you sing. Are you singing in this video? I don't think so. You're rather playing a piece, more precisely: a Nocturne.

  • @KevinDorner

C'mon, why u expect the perfect sense of musicianship from 10 year old girl. I think she did am impressive job. I cant even do this. You guys should encourage her and come up with the better words or if you cant think of one, better keep yourself quiet.

  • Amazing! =D

  • wonderful !!!

  • very good, only.. the left hand, it's too 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4,.. try to put some more emotion in that, like a wave a bit (don't know how to explain exactly) but it's the romantic period, and this is too steady; the right hand is perfect. way to go!

  • @mees04101993 haha i understood what u said so u explained it alright :P Good advice. Hopefully that sence of musicianship will develop as she grows up :)

  • beautifull!!!

    congratulations :D

and i'm proud to know that your favourite pianist is our portuguese Maria João Pires! :D

    Well done! :D

  • Very nice performance, Great Job 5 *

  • i love your interpretation. it is a lot better then many people I have heard and i am from a family of professional and semi-professional classical muscicians

  • it's so beautiful =)

you must to become a great and famous pianist ; )

  • you keep a very steady beat throughout this whole song, which in some cases is appropriate, but i've learned and am still learning that chopin's works are to be exaggerated tempos and ritards and accelerandos. it puts more feeling into it when you play with a less-steady tempo, if that makes sense. you played this piece very well though- brava!

  • i had to play this piece when i was 10 too...

  • you should try playing "Bella's Lullaby" im pretty sure your gonna play it as good as this song!!! :)

    good job... :)

  • PLEASE CORRECT THE TITLE this is C #minor.. the livel of this nocturne and the Nocturne 48 Cminor there is enormos different..

  • Are you sure this is C-sharp minor? It sounds very C minor to me....

  • This is definitely C Minor. I own the book with this specific song.

    Chopin

    Selected Works for the Piano

    Book one

  • Es verdad, tocas fantásticamente. ¿Por qué no subes más vídeos?

  • tu tokas mui bien aun tienes toda tu vida para aprender

  • You are COOL!! : ) Congratulation!!!

  • amazing!

  • you play piano very good (:

  • You're REALLY good, Rebecca. As you grow up and revisit the piece some times, just please DO NOT forget to add you growing mature sentiment to the playing of this piece. Chopin wrote it circa the last few years of his life, he must have give his heart to the piece, please don't let him down. More emotion, more fantasy.

  • Wow. Not just "good for a 10-year old" but genuinely good!

If constructive criticism is welcome, I'd venture that you seem to give it a little "hurry up" on the more forceful parts.

    Brilliantly played.

  • Very beautifully played. Lots of emotions.

  • very good rebecca, unbelieveble talent you have.

  • Very nice Rebecca, Chopin is a big selection. Congratulations.

  • woud someone tell me what the name of this amazing song played by rebeca is pleaze?thank you

  • It's Nocturne in C Minor, unfortunately I do not know the opus number of it, my music book failed to provide me with that number,

  • This is No. 21 Op. posth

  • This piece is without Opus. It's Nocturne C minor, you can tell it apart from other Nocturne C minor by its year of composition: 1847.

  • i play this song now and im 12!!!! ur amazing! very talented! thank you

  • whats the name of the song ??

  • Very nice Rebecca, you are gifted!

  • I enjoy this :D

  • WoW, what a Girl!!!=) she could be my younger twin sister, gosh =));) same name and also looks similar to me like when I was at that age=) Just keep on playing your music, precious!!!!!!!! 1 <3

  • Wow! you're very talented, it's really nice to hear you playing Chopin =). I play the piano but it's only a hobby for me and I must say that you're really, really better than me (despite my age, 15 years old). I wish I could play like you ^^ Just a question, how many hours a week do you play the piano ? 15 ? It would be nice if you could answer my question.

Sorry for my bad english, I'm french and I sometimes make horrible mistakes =)

  • You're excellent! I'm 15, but I still need practice. Keep playing!

  • trop dégoutée. Je ne jouerai jamais aussi bien qu'elle!!!! :'(

    bon courage qd meme ;-)

  • I'm 60 years old, but one day, I shall (hopefully) play this as well as you, but when that will happen, I don't know. God bless you Rebecca.

  • wow:))

  • Good job. Wonderful piece and you've played it beautiful!

  • astounding, perfect, excellent, 0 errors. Although i don't hope so, you might be better than me when you grow up, i really wouldn't want that to happen because i want to be the best pianist in the world, and the thought that there are always other pianist out there that are better than me bugs, irritates, and worries me. Well i've posted dozens of comments but i have never, evev revealed my name, well, whoever sees this is one lucky person: look out for this name when you grow up Timothy Gondola

  • hey!! we share same goals, i also want to be come a great concert pianist but not the best of the world.. i want to become ONE of the best:D i'm going to remeber your name! is see you in the compentisions!!..over a year.. i dont even have a piano and my first piano lessons are starting in october:P but people say i ve talent:D

  • Omg!! youre so good, Rebecca! you'll be famous one day!!!! <3 <3 <3

  • BRAVO, Becky !

  • Please play more nocturnes. You play so movingly. You have given me great pleasure. Thank you.

  • it wasn't published until after his death hence the name posthumous...you won't find it anywhere free online...nor will you find it in the CD sheet music that claims to have all of his nocturnes...i finally got a book with all 21 nocturnes plus all waltzes and preludes

  • WHEREEE DID YOU GET THAT BOOK!?!!?!?

i've been trying to find this song . it owns!

  • faynks holmes.

yeah i know where a borders is too. 'ppreciate it alot man.

  • the piece can be downloaded for free. go to

ourchopindotcom. there are links to pages where it can be found. I got it from there

  • Nocturne 21 in C minor Opus posthumous I think

  • c'est magnifique

  • wow

  • a hand full o ' stars for this performance!

  • You are so talented and beautiful I wish you well. Lovely lovely music.

  • O_o

  • Bravo!

  • i swear you would kick my butt in any competition and I am 14! I'd be like scary 11 year old in there just owned"

  • Mine too, and I'm 60.

  • Wow. lamerooze has a point. Your tempo is, indeed, a little inconsistent, and you do tend to pick it up a bit at the louder parts. You do have good technique, don't get me wrong, I say wow because you're good, really good, but that's something you should really work on. Other than that, I was really moved. Well, what can I say? I like nocturnes the best.

  • keep up the brilliant playing!! x x

  • Very nice Rebecca! :D

María is my favourite pianist as well! she has a very deep touch

    all the best!

    Martin

  • Very Nice. Can you play

    Nocturne in D-flat Op.27 No.2

    by Chopin?

  • Bravo! Your version really breathes. I liked it very much.

  • WHERE DID YOU FIND THE SHEET FOR THIS NOCURNE!!!!?!!??! i've been looksin for a while. you owned this nocturne up holmes.

  • I loved it so much, I told my daughter to start practicing this song IMMEDIATELY!!!! (she's 11).

    Keep up the good work.

  • I noticed your interpretation was completely different from the dynamics transcribed on the piano score, but there's still a lot of room for improvement - for example, your tempo needs to be consistent, you tend to quicken up during the louder parts, and don't you notice your tempo gradually quickening? You could also do better in contrasting piano and forte. The irregular quavers could also do with more clarity. But otherwise, great work girl, looking forward to your future performances.

  • aww that's nice [= i played the same song too at a competition! you have really good techinique :) keep up the good work!

  • omg that comment right below me is so mean!! ur an angel and u play like an angel! dont listen to negitive comments

    jacques de paris

  • This is a very early Nocturne (c minor) of Chopin, without opus number, probably the first one he ever wrote. You can find it in the Paderewski edition, together with a copy of the autograph!

Heel mooi gespeeld, Rebecca! Ga vooral door met klassiek, en vergeet niet om veel Bach te spelen!

    Groeten van Pianowrestler, Den Haag.

  • I just saw that it is also in the Henle edition, and there they mention 1837 as the date of composition, which means that it is not the first one, Chopin was already 27 then. Well, let's believe the musicologists.

  • You played this piece beautifully, Rebecca!

  • WOW! Amazing. I'm practicing this song for my recital. You play way better than me! Keep up the good work! You are very talented.

  • Hi Rebecca! I never saw this kind of emotion in a music played by a child. You are great, great! Congratulations!

    Hugs from Brazil.

  • i can't believe you are already playing chopin and mozart at this age...it's really amazing.

  • Well done Rebecca! That was beautiful.

    Big warm hug from Barcelona!

  • You brought me to tears. I look forward to seeing you in a concert hall playing a major concerto, The Mozart, K.595 or the Beethoven "Emperor," perhaps. As Mozart told Beethoven once, "Someday you will make a great noise in the world." Thank you for sharing your talent and your obvious love of music with us now.

  • Good job Rebecca! Keep it up.

  • really good!!!

  • Wow! That was a beautiful performance. You will most undoubtedly become an extraordinary pianist someday. Keep it up!
