  • All oil pastels are semi-transparent, but good quality oil pastels do have more pigment and less transparent binders that hold the pigment together.

    Daler-Rowney oil pastels are inexpensive and fairly good quality. Better is Holbein, very good quality and my preference. Hope this helps!

  • I have a problem with my oil pastels. They are drawing like crayons. Any tips? They're brand new.
