Removing government spending is the only way to have jobs.
Government must lose its jobs so that credit can be reallocated, businesses can breathe freely again and huge monopolies can stop having their super-backing by the government machine. Programs can be abolished, wars can be stopped, money can stop being devalued.

Flat screens cost five figures when they debuted (I know because I bought one at the time, a $15,000 50-inch Toshiba flat panel plasma display). That meant that they cost five to ten times as much as CRT TV's of comparable size.
The Chevy Volt costs $40K. That means that the car is not only competitively priced with many other cars already on the market, but that as cars go, it's moderately expensive at best. There are a LOT of FAR more expensive cars out there.
@osp80 Sorry, but you can't just lump the Volt in with "slow economy cars" (e.g. the Prius) in an attempt to defend your argument that pricing is the main reason the Volt isn't selling well. The Volt doesn't just cost more to produce; technologically, it is clearly superior to any economy vehicle currently on the market. There are several key reasons why one would prefer a Volt to a Prius. And still, the Volt's sales figures are dismal.

Government must lose its jobs so that credit can be reallocated, businesses can breathe freely again and huge monopolies can stop having their super-backing by the government machine. Programs can be abolished, wars can be stopped, money can stop being devalued.

Flat screens cost five figures when they debuted (I know because I bought one at the time, a $15,000 50-inch Toshiba flat panel plasma display). That meant that they cost five to ten times as much as CRT TV's of comparable size.
The Chevy Volt costs $40K. That means that the car is not only competitively priced with many other cars already on the market, but that as cars go, it's moderately expensive at best. There are a LOT of FAR more expensive cars out there.

The Volt doesn't just cost more to produce; technologically, it is clearly superior to any economy vehicle currently on the market. There are several key reasons why one would prefer a Volt to a Prius. And still, the Volt's sales figures are dismal.

When Clinton raised taxes on the rich, some Republicans in Congress said the DOW would go down, unemployment would go up, & the economy would crash.
The DOW tripled, unemployment went to 3.8% & we had great economic prosperity & a gov't surplus.
When Bush lowered taxes, we heard the same old BS about trickle down, but the DOW was lower when he left office after 8 yrs then when he took office & the economy was spiraling down toward a Depression w/ ppl talking about their 201Ks
