The Zuccotti Park is private in the sens that it's own by someone, no private in the sens that they could do what they want with it - they have a contract with the New York dating from 1968, meaning they have limitation - one of them is they ought to keep the park open 24 hours a day, 365 day a years.

If OWS's intention was to be a peaceful movement they would be doing a sixties style anti war sit in. But they are not, they are moving outside of zuccotti park in an effort to harrass the community and cause a conflict with local officials. They have declared they will not stop. They have not declared specific goals. They will only stop when they get enough martys. They are a mob.
