  • Nice channel

  • Good video.

  • How exactly do you tell how much MOA you have for your specific barrel/scope/bullet?

  • Great vid. What kind of rifle/scope do you use?

  • very helpful vid mate well done, nice bit of kit ya got there too

  • what rifle do use bro?

  • what the range on that rifle be in metres

  • can someone help me understand MOA when shooting long range i'm always so confused about i'm a total dumbass with trying to understand it

  • @MrDip02 You know how angles are measured in degrees, right? Well minutes are just fractions of a degree of angle. 60 minutes of angle makes 1 degree of angle. When you are dialing in MOA for a longer shot, you're pointing the reticle further downward so that the barrel lifts up a touch more to be centered on target, compensating for the added bullet drop of the further distance.

  • What scope dude.. Brand???

  • Everytime I go to your website I get somekind of virus. You might want to check it out.

Nice videos. What kind of bipod do you have on this rifle? it looks like it would be able to swivel on uneven ground

  • I did not read through the video comments so I do not know if this has been asked before but, why don't you mount your bipod facing towards the muzzle? I would think that doing this would allow you to load your bipod making it easier to call your shot.

  • @cysoto

it swings both ways, front or back

  • @seanpomerinke I like the video. but i would like to know about the drop how do you caculate it. I can zero my scope in at a certan yardage but can not quite figure out how to not wast ammo at a different yardage. using a mouser 8mm with a modified stock. and a 3x9x40 scope. and also a cetme .308 if you reply thainks.

  • @seanpomerinke i get it . .swings both ways . . .a "bi" pod . . . well i thought it was funny

  • That scope is a Millet LRS 1/4 MOA click product No. BK81004

  • nice sitting position young fella,in scotland we often use a walking stick anchored between the knees combined with an arm wrapped through the sling to give a good steady tripod effect rest

  • Hey man GREAT! video thanks for the info you are my new buddy! I just bought a k98k dou.45 Mauser 8mm and I am going to use your sitting method from now on the short stock for my 6'5" stature will be ideal.

  • i have a scope that i bought at walmart and i would like to now if its a true mil dot scope or not. It is a Tasco Varmint 2-10 x 42 Scope with Mil-Dot, Matte

  • thats a good helpful video not full of shit like alot of them keep up the good work

  • what kind of scope are you using i have a 270 winchester model 750 and love the hole long range shooting i wanna get into it but dont no what scope would be best thanks if you could help me out with this

  • What kind of scope is that?

  • what scope are you using and where can i get a nice long range scope what would you suggest? Looking at shooting maybe up to 1000yds with my 6.5x55

  • Do you shoot with one eye or two eyes open. And do you blink when the gun goes off and lose target? My gun is way powerful and is like an earthquake. the gun bounces all around. Its freaking nutz. I cant seem to master the scope but only been out twice. dollar a round baby. Its like smoking 100 dollar bills. .

  • Holy crap thank you! I can't find a video anywhere on how to do this!

  • how are you a youtube partner?!?!?!?!?

  • I am curious about the right TIME to pull the trigger , i mean do you inhale a lot of oxigen before you go aiming on target? or do you do some yoga type things to relax;

And is your triggerfinger before, upon, or slight pressing the trigger?

I like your video becouse its not overcomented with senceless things

Greetings from the Netherlands! and please continuing usefull videos like this

  • @schuur10 This might be completely incorrect so I am welcome to criticism or correction, but the way I get to shooting is calmly breathe and do NOT try to hold your breath, you are straining muscles that are not necessary. (As far as I know) you need to become as 'neutral' as possible i.e. breathe until you want to shoot, then exhale normally (you can practice this by just sitting at home or lying in bed) as soon as you will normally take another breath, delay the next inhale, fire and breath

  • @L3NNyOw3N

    You are right.

what you are looking for is called the natural respiratory rate which you are the most stable. after a few breaths let out about half of your breath and hold there. You should have 5 to 7 seconds that you will be the most steady.

  • Great video

  • does anyone else see the bent tree?

  • Nice video Sean. Very informative and to the point. Good stuff amigo !

  • DUDE thanks for the modified Indian style shooting position!

  • hay Sean, great video, Im Sean Dunphy from Yarker Ontario Canada. You explained the information I was looking for very well. I look forward to more videos. Thanks

  • Are you in the military?

  • Great video! And dang did that hit hard/loud!

    Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  • one day i can shot real gun in uk not crapey pallits

  • Awesome video and great explanation. Thanks!

  • What caliber and scope are you using. Thx.

  • Hey there! Nice video by the way. I plan on getting a nice long rang rifle and a long range scope as well. I plan on using these to shoot coyotes and groundhogs. What should I look up and research first on using these kind of scopes? I have never shot long rang weapons before. The closest thing I have been would be a muzzleloader at 115 yards.

  • Millet?

  • I'm sure you've answered this a bunch and I'm sorry to ask it, but what rifle, scope, caliber, bullet, and load are you using? I want to get into scoped long range shooting and this video is VERY helpful, thank you for posting it!

    -Mr. 2nd

  • what kind of scope are you using

  • i have a question... for exemple..

my rifle is zeroed for 300 meters...

now, for instance, i see that at 700 meters there is, 67" of drop...

how do i adjust for that range, if my rifle is already set for 300 meters? i mean...

ok, let's say, 67" is 9.5 MOA of drop... should i just adjust the turret to 9.5 or do i have to compensate since my rifle is zeroed to 300 meters?

should i put 9.5 of MOA, or 5.4 MOA?

BTW, 9 MOA at 600yrs is 54 Inches of drop?

    i'm kinda confused.

  • @ZzRvXzZ

You are right that it would be 9.5 MOA the question is if your drop is based off a 300 yard zero and if your turrets are set to the number 0. If that is the case then you would just spin the turret to 9.5 MOA and shoot and as long as your data is accurate and your gun is accurate then you should hit the target.

  • @seanpomerinke

    Hey, thanks for the help...

    I have another question...

When i go to the range, i just try to hit the target, and then i see where i hit, and i adjust on the scope until i hit it...

Do you know, where i get a Bullet trajectory... some sort of bullet drop table? i've searched alot for it and i didn't find it...

for exemple i'd like to get a range table for a 147-grain 7.62×51mm NATO, where do i get it?

    i'm new to the sport..

  • @ZzRvXzZ

Thats the most accurate way but you will go through more ammo.

Do a google search for JBM ballistics its a free online ballistic calculator that can help you get in the right direction but will still need some fine tuning.

  • is this a .338 or somethin? btw, nice tips, vid, and great shot man, i might try to upload a vid of me and my .30-06 sometime soon cuz this was cool and i feel i might be able to reach pretty long ranges with it.

  • Target Turrents? lol anyway good video, informative and love the rifle set up

  • Well done and clearly explained. Great job!

  • very well done sir

  • I have had a question about scopes. So there is a 0 number which is neutral. If so after that one way is left (I'm guessing if you turn it clockwise the windage crosshair will go left) is negative. Or is it the other way... Anyways I play airsoft, which is a fun sport. Now I'm getting a new sniper rifle and want to be able to shoot a target without firing off a shot. I'm using a 3-9x50mm scope by Leapers. and a G98 Spring Sniper rifle 550+ FPS. More than enough for airsoft. Please respond Thanks

  • @BenningtonAirsoft Airsoft is gay.

  • @BALJIT147 Not really.

  • @BALJIT147 how is the activity of airsoft correlated to homosexuality?

  • @BALJIT147 no its not, its fun and at least you can ware proper military outfits without the paint getting all over your gear

  • @BALJIT147 not it's not

  • @BenningtonAirsoft get a rifle :)

  • @BenningtonAirsoft Cool beans mate, dont listen to the idiots calling you names. Real guns are awesome but Airsoft better simulates battle.

  • B-E-A-utiful

  • 2:47 fucking mosquito

  • Comment removed

  • Man you loko like the DC sniper shooting out the back of your truck :)

  • Very Interesting. I have always wanted to go hunting. I wish I had a person like you around, so I can actually do what the "hunting" is suppose to do. Great vid man

  • thank you a lot mate, me and my father is competing in some shooting and that position will help me beat him. Thank you :)

  • What type Rifle, Scope, and Ammo do you use?

  • what type of scope is that , and rifle. thanks

  • @akaeldin I was going to ask the same thing.

@seanpomerinke It looks like a Remington 700 action on some customizable stock. The video has encouraged me into the versatility of Military Turrets (do not know the precise name, Target Turrets?). Thanks for the video.

  • @Reynard13Fuchs , I have the same stock, its a Bell & Carlson stock. can order from manufacture or from remington. comes with an OD green and black Spackle finish. this gentlemen in the video has painted his himself

  • Rifle, bullets, and scope?

  • Thanks, great video. Wish I could hang with for a few hours.

  • What kind of scope us that?

  • Id rather couch screw

  • How would I find the bullet drop of my rifle if I don't know any suggestions

  • @coltar1234 go to a range and start shooting known distances. zero ur rifle for 100 yards. than shoot 200 hundred yards, 3 shot groups. than 300 yards and so on, recording the average of how far down ur bullet has dropped at each distance. than you can start adjusting ur scope accordingly

  • @coltar1234 lots of Iphone apps that calculate bullet drop. or just google the bullet caliber and grain weight with the word ballistics and you should see a ballistic table without looking too hard.

  • am i the only one who thinks this guy looks like Julian Smith?

  • how di you get ahold of a M40

  • @maclarn91 It's not an M40.

  • @MikeM0331 sure as hell looks like 1

  • @maclarn91 No, that rifle appears to have a bell & carlson tactical stock, M40s have the McMillan A5. M40s also have a Schmidt and Bender 3-12x50 PM II scope and Harris 6-9 inch bipods. His rilfe is also a long action, looks like a 300 ultra mag. M40s are short action 7.62x51 (.308) :)

  • good show

nice shot there , i just love it hehehe

    music to my ears

    cheers

    aoolf

  • I wish there was a convenient place to shoot long range here in IN. small property=no fun w/ long rifles.

Not that I am any good at long range..but practicing would be nice....lol.

  • just two questions what is your scope size and what gun are you shooting 300 ?

  • what scope is on your rifle?

  • that gun is sick and this vid helped ALOT

  • Ok maybe it's just me but isn't it a rule that you NEVER point a firearm at anything that your not planing on shooting? @ 6:19 he pointed it right at the camra, now if it was me filming i'd hit the dirt, but who knows if it's loaded or not.

  • can you do a video explaining why you turn what your turn when calculating the shot?

  • What range do you have your scope zero'd in at?

  • @Blacklung27 hats off to you

  • Just so everyone knows. Blacklung was being sarcastic and he knows the guns are meant for killing and meds save people. Just saying.

  • What brand/model scope?

  • can you tell me what rifle is that? looks like a trg 21

  • thats TRG-21??

  • SO, i am running into some debate... Since the millet has mil-dot reticles, i want to go with mil based turret adjustments so i don't have to convert to moa... i am going to think in metric for sighting in and boycott the english system, usa is the only country that uses it...

my question is, will a moa based system be more accurate than a mil system because the 1/4 moa clicks are finer than the .1 mil clicks?? (moa click is .25" at 100yrd vs mil click is .36" at 100yrd)

  • what gun is that?

  • Excellent instruction! Thank you.

  • M40?

  • What scope is that?

  • @RyanMcVicker Millett LRS model BK81004

  • @cp120x thanks, i ran into the millets while finding a good scope and realized it was the same one as here!

  • Great video

  • beautiful rifle my man great vid.

  • @KnivesandFireArmsUK Aww Stfu I serched for air rifles and this came up...

  • Is that an air rifle???

  • @TheHunter670 yea an air rifle that can shoot a 308..

  • @KnivesAndFireArmsUK hahahahhhaha

  • @RugerM77Remington700 lol that guys a fucking idiot what air rifle has recoil and can go past like 25 yards..

  • @KnivesAndFireArmsUK Yeah, I know haha. yet his name is thehunter670....yeah right

  • @RugerM77Remington700 Yeah lol, u have a remington 700? im in the process of getting one either PSS or the SPS V and change the stock ..

  • @KnivesAndFireArmsUK i think the lenghth of the action says it shoots a 300 lol

  • i liked this man i already knew about the m.o.a but i always like to see what other people have to say but i tryed that shooting style and it is rock steady i found i like shooting that way a little but more than prone.

  • i am sorry but how come you click the alivation to 9 when you are shooting at a 600 yards target? Shouldnt' it be 6 instead of 9? I am sorry if this sounds stupid but i am a total and complete nood to this. Thanks

  • @saxokobe its depending on your ammo what ever its FPS how much the round drops ect like the .308 caliber has scopes MADE for the round and its balistics so it makes it really derp and derp but for other rifles its not so simple and you got no what its drop is gonna be for that range for instance .308 shooting dead flat at a 90 degree angle at 100 yards will drop 4 to 5 inchs from where it started leaving the rifle and no its not consistant because the longer its out the more drag is put on it

  • great!

  • Good information.

  • good tips dude that position is very stable will have to give it a try next time im out and great shooting love the gun as well im defo subscribing check out my 600 yard shooting with my .223

  • i thought that was cardboard untill he fired ;P

  • @Blacklung27 great point i agree 100%, just wanted it to be known also weed killed/harmed less people last year than any one of the prementioned items.

  • and i think it is a millett scope.

  • What kind of scope is that? and what's the price?

  • okay so i have a laser range finder and it tels me the bulet drop.. for my 270win, @562 yards the drop is 12.1moa.. and wat i dont get is how do you dope for example (11.8)how would you dope the .8 some 1 pleas help me.. thanks

  • @rubberduck182 Are you competing or are you trying to kill something?

  • @GriffGruff78 well i want to shoot some deer.. bet i just found out that it is 1/3moa or mil :)

  • @rubberduck182 Or maybe just trying to kill milk jugs?

  • What scope is that?

  • good info

  • youtube.com/watch?v=Dxtuz6Y5eHo

  • Now how do you know that your bullet will drop 9MOA at 600 yards?

  • @ruckelz74 Most long range shooters are using a shot computer or shooters app on their pda. You just put in the brand, caliber and range It'll give you the MOA and you ajust the scope. ...In the old days we used math!

  • @JeepSiteGuy I still just go back to my data book. Plus the mil-dot master makes my head feel like it isn't going to explode.

  • How do you figure a shot that you use turrett adjustment and mil dot holdover. Say 1300 yds with a 308. You dope your scope for 1000 yds. How do you figure the 3oo yd mildot holdover. Thanks

  • scope looks like a Millet 4-16x50. Great scope for the money.

  • how long is that barrel on that gun

  • does your bipod with the backwards folding legs help eliminate barrel rise??

  • Hey Sean, thanks for all the info, you make some great videos. Could you tell me the specs of your scope and rifle?

  • Good video, thanks.

  • What kind of scope is that? leupold mark 4?

  • Very cool man. You know your shit.

  • Great vid man, thanks for posting it.

  • Loved your in-depth detail, this is a great video. I'm sure someone has asked you this already but I flicked through the pages and couldn't see it. What caliber is the rifle in this video mate?

  • What scope is cheap but good anuf to get me started?

  • that sitting position looks like the common field&target shooting position - interesting idea to use this position, I have to try this one out.

  • WTF is a "turrent"??

  • @comlax22 are you serious - that are the little "towers" on a scope to set the position of the cross hair...

  • @Sideshowbobx Are you serious? The guy in this video & you both need to learn how to spell and talk...they are called "turrets."

  • @comlax22 Hey you got me - spelling ain't my biggest strenght. I thought you wanted to know what scope turrets are - so never mind as you can even spell them right. Didn't even noticed the glitch in the pronunciation in the video as I watched only a fraction due to his odd prong position, the sitting position really got most of my attention.

  • @Sideshowbobx lol it's all good, my first post was joking, tongue in cheek...I knew he meant turrets...but when someone this experienced calls them "turrents," I can't help but laugh HARD and call him out on it!!!! :)

  • Wasnt really a good prone position at all. Surprised you still hit it. Not too bad aof shooting though. You should get a nice Harris style bipod. Theyre supposed to flip forward so you can really lean in to the rifle to absorb that much more recoil.

  • is that a cardboard gun??

  • the target was 5 metres away

  • @MustNotRead people kill people guns are just an easy way

  • @Wynnedex and a fully automatic weapon is an even easier way. I don't have problem with gun control as long as they don't ban them entirely.

  • @MustNotRead No gun has ever been convicted and sent to prison for committing a crime of any sort. Why is that?

--> Guns don't kill people. People kill people. A gun by itself is 100% harmless.

A whole lot more people die in car accidents every year. Should we ban cars? Is it the car that killed or is it the person behind the wheel? I'm pretty sure no one's ever been killed by a parked car.

    You figure it out!

  • @optikvenom

yeah, but it's also about protecting the government. you gun-types are always talking about turning your guns against authrity if they ask you to do something you don't like, or ask you to pay extra taxes, etc. you know the people i'm talking about...the militia-men and minutemen, etc. you're all nuts.

    it's just wrong

  • @MustNotRead I think you've been watching too many low-budget movies.

Very very very few people are as stupid or naive as what you've described in your post.

You made no sense at all.

  • @MustNotRead So do stupid people like you!

  • @MustNotRead Guns were mostly banned in the UK, now we enjoy a 40% increase in gun crime because of it.

Idiots like you should be banned, idiots kill people.

  • @MustNotRead Prescription medication, taken as recommended killed more people last year than guns. So I say we ban any and all medications. And alcohol that killed almost 10 times more people than guns. Lets ban that. People driving while texting killed more people last year than guns did. I say no more cell phones. Idiot drivers kill more people every year than guns so I say we lock up anyone who has ever been in an accident and ban all cars.

  • @Blacklung27 I am for responsible gun ownership however guns are the only thing as far as I know that are created for one purpose and that is to kill, and that is not the main purpose of medication, alcohol, cell phones, and cars.

  • @Blacklung27 Well said.

  • @MustNotRead eat a dick fucking lib

  • Perfect video,congratulations from Brazil!!!!!
