TV viewers (myself included) called her Vicky or Vicki because she was - well she was more human to us. We knew she was Tiffany Brissette, a child actress. And that was the whole point. The "robot" became more and more human throughout the series and she became a part of the Lawson family. She was became their daughter. We didn't see her as Voice Input Child Identicant. She was HUMAN.

Man, what a bad show. The main character was played by a really cute girl (Tiffany Brissette) - unfortunately, her prowess as an actress left much to be desired, even when playing a robot that speaks in a monotone (!!)

Tiffanny appeared once as an invited contestant of Disney Channel's "Teen Win, Lose or Draw", hosted back then by actor and stand up comedian Marc Price, of Family Ties fame (if you can call it that.)

Hmm, the girl being a robot and all, you'd think they copied some things from Knight Rider. KITT talked, and so does Vicki, in that strange computer-like voice. Yet, KITT had a personality, and a sense of humor. Vicki talks in that boring 1 level voice mode. Though, the show was anything but, boring. I barely remember it, i was only 4 or 5 when it came about back then.

I dunno, it seems to me that this show is just a ripoff of Akira Toriyama's Doctor Slump, which came out a few years before this show aired. Of course Arale-chan had a lot more personality, and I feel sorry for poor Tiffany having to talk in that awful monotone.
