Hell, the few times they reduced it, the rest of the gameplay apparently wasn't given as much effort, and suddenly you've got a very visual way to tell if a Tomb Raider game is going to be good or bad.

been a long time since i played Tomb Raider 2,

I remember these cut-scenes so well, Westwood really knew how to create imaginative games, and the Tanya sequences were always memorable.

What they achieved with this game set down a marker for all other strategy games to follow, basically creating a cross between a game and a movie with real-life interation with the character in these scenes and then letting the player take over and run the mission, it made it more immersive then anything out at the time.
