@HatsbyHannah This looks exactly like kumihimo to me, but there are simpler ways to do it. Do a search on YouTube for "kumihimo." They may be using a different foam circle - there are a lot of different kinds - but the technique will be the same. If you learn some of the simpler patterns first you can try some of the ones with this kit later. I hope that helps.

@VxMyaxV No you don't. 20 inches will make like AT LEAST an 8 inch bracelet, and most people's wrists are under 8. Mine's like 5 and a half inches, so I can cut my strings less than 20 inches. If you think about it, it makes sense since they're 16 strings.

Yes, you can do it with a piece of cardboard - it's called kumihimo and its very old. The point of this kit is the pattern. I've never seen how to make hearts before. I think I might get one if it's not too expensive.
