I love it here. Fly fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, rafting, kayaking, backpacking, etc... are a normal part of my life. Quite sad that you think what you think. Idaho does not blow at all. It might blow for the losers who sit at home and want to stay inside all day long.

In 1996, I drove cross country. The most memorable point was eating lunch in a parking lot of an IGA. I told the deli lady it was more beautiful than I had imagined. On the strength of this memory, my wife made a plan in 2009 to move there. Consider this -- we left Paris for Idaho. Two years later, she still likes it.

waters in idaho are full of cow, horse and lamb shit. it has more farm animals than people. there is radioactive waste in eastern idaho, people get weird brain and blood cancers. it is too hot in the summer and the forested areas have TONS of mosquitoes. i've never seen so many mosquitoes in my life, not in florida, not in eastern canada.

there are too many weird people moving from CA and the eastern US to idaho and they are ruining it. the locally bred stock seemed to be good people.

i was born and raised in idaho in the area where most of these pics are taken. i have been many places but nothing has ever compared to the beauty of idaho. the mountains the river the lakes and the trees all have a way of capturing your heart and never letting go. I know that god never created anything more beautiful than the rocky mountains of idaho. i wake every morning longing for my mountains. thank you for your video i almost felt at home for a moment :)

I was raised in Idaho and now live in Florida but I miss it terribly. What an incredible State. It is filled with awesome beauty. I love floating down the round rock bottom rivers that flow so clear like the Payette and the main Salmon River. I spent a lot of time in Riggis as a kid. My dream is to be able to have my family all float down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River one day!!!

I think it is a beautiful and fun place to live in. You do have to travel long distances to find the best views and sights and most of the south part is desertic and somewhat boring. Yet the freedom, the peace, the wildlife, the colors, the immensity and vastness of it makes it a great experience even if only for a short stay or visit. I have left for California several times since most of my family live there. Yet I just keep coming back even though some winters are tough...

As a Floridian, I can honestly say Idaho was one of the most incredible places I have ever been. We were stationed at Mtn Home AFB which truly is not very much to write home about, but if you like outdoors and seasons, there isn't anyplace better in my view.

Lived there in the mid 70s for 2 years as a kid. It was very unspoiled back then. Went there last summer and saw that it's not quite the secret anymore. Still beats a vegetating life in CA though!... I remember getting to camp in the pan-handle and seeing a herd of elk right outside the window of a private cabin. Ever eaten hand fulls of wild strawberries?

Might I reccomend going through Kuna. Beautiful scenery and just go down swan falls and it is breathtaking with the dam and the birds of prey we have. That is why I like living here. Always go somewhere and still feel that happiness and comfort around here. Good luck on your travels!

i AGREE....very nice scenery and its surpisong how big the place is from north to south...runs the whole length of washington and oregon combined.....and southern idaho(more desert like) is so different to northern idaho....if i was going to move to another state i think idaho would rank as one of my top choices...the people there are freindly to and cost of living is not too bad.
