@WeMustBeStopped , No offense, I just found that since he when solo he drop some aspects that I really enjoyed with Soul Coughing. The use of his voice for one. He has a strong vocal that he tries to hide sometimes. He could be Tom Waits, but he goes for Jack Johnson. (Sorry about the comparison to JJ, I just did it for similarity reasons.... no saying he copies anything... cause he doesn't) This song, as well as some of his more recent, have that strength in his....... continued......

@Dean0017 He is awesome, Scrap is his name...got to hang out with the band and his crew sans Mike after a show in Cincinnati. I agree, but I think you owe it to yourself to check out the less produced solo stuff like Rockity Roll (um, I mean MOTHERFUCKING Rockity Roll...just crazy amazing) I thinkk this is just another bland example of his most recent trends. I love Haughty Melodic, but Golden Delicious and this are exactly proving your point. I wish they'd reunite for a spell. (SC, I mean)

@WeMustBeStopped I agree, even Skittish was good. If I remember correctly he kicked off his solo career with this album. Mike recorded these songs that were released on "napster" or something like that? You couldn't buy these song, the only way to get them was to download. There was a fantastic amount of people downloading his unreleased songs. (please someone correct me if I'm wrong) Anyway, I have a feeling the "Skittish" songs were wrote while he was still with the band.

@Dean0017 Oh, I agree, I omitted Skittish in my little comment there. Yes, it is fantastic...quite a departure from SC, certainly. But RR is my favorite, and I'm not even really big on 27 Jennifers. Or Ossining, really, for that matter. Which I realize only leaves four songs, but those four songs are PUNISHINGLY good, in my opinion. And I also believe you are right about him writing Skittish while SC was together.
