Was in Letterkenney in 1979 for the Marathon, remember a place called Captain America's which was a real step up from the standard Wimpy Burger fare usually on offer in those days for low budget touristas like myself.
36 yrs ago Luke??? FAUGHHHH! (The NEW Golden Grill.....love it) This minds me too thyat Horslips gave me an extra interest in acoustic irish music. Good one hi.! D.
Yes indeed, Horslips brought traditional music to the forefront in the 1970's.
You should cover one of their acoustic pieces Damian, say, "The Best Years of My Life", Rescue me" or something off the "Aliens" album ( some great lyrical songs on that one)
@shyboyzzzzz Just spent 3 weeks in your beautiful country...Most of it in Letterkenny....people seemed to be very proud of their houses and yards..flowers every where. Cool place mate ...

I bet everyone in this video had a dog who has died. I can just sense the canine pain etched on their faces.

Pat Crerand says it's the pain of watching Leeds in the Championship that has the Donegal people unhappy.

Notice Raineys at 0:37 back in the day when people actually gave a gift as a wedding present. Nowadays it's hard currency or gold bullion...
How times have changed.
