  • he probably just finished a bottle of vodka and thought hey ill make a bow

  • Правиш ли riser-и по поръчка?

  • That is one awesome bow! wish I had the skill to create one of these.

    All the best!

  • This is great and an inspiration to my first bow I used or should i say am using skis for the limbs since they are like really recurve

Limbs and designed to bend and am using a solid red oak piece for my riser can you tell my how far this shoots I am guessing around 200m thanks.

Like in the name of inspiration

  • what is the weight of the bow? 30 pounds more

  • Българите сме опасна работа! От нищо нещо правим и винаги ни се получава :D това в кръгът на шегата разбира се евала за майсторлъка.

  • @kaziklu79 Im sorry, what did you say you made this out of? Bed lath? What is that? What kind of wood?

  • cool =D

  • @MrOgeidAzip1 Thanks!

  • nice

  • @meanman1992 Thanks!

  • hello pal...love the bows

  • @lpilk2007 Thank you!

  • You are getting better and better at this. Ikea bed slats? Very nice job shaping the handle. I think you are on the right track with a straighter riser. You should not need much deflex in the limbs. If you go for a heavier draw weight I suggest you use a hardwood for the riser, there is much stress thru the handle and sight window. Good Job!

  • @mxred91 Hi, Chuck! Sorry for the late reply but i was off the internet for a month. These bed slats work very good, but i've cut them a little too narrow and the bow isn't as heavy as i wanted it. So i've bought 4 more slats and have some ideas for new bows :) Thanks for the tip about the hardwood riser - i may use some beech wood. What do you think, should i fiberglass back the limbs?

    Alex

  • Hi kaziklu79, Beech should be a good choice for the riser. Fiberglass will add a safety margin to the limbs. I backed a black walnut bow I made with fiberglass drywall tape embedded in epoxy just on the back of the bow. I could overdraw that bow without the limbs breaking.

  • @yammo12 Don't know the correct English name, but these are laths from laminated wood, part of the bed frame that holds the mattress.
