  • @P71CVPI07AZ

Have a good job with your F-4

  • That is amazing! I don't know why you turned off the ratings, any one rating other than thumbs up would be crazy.

  • R.I.P. kitty. i heard your building companion had died.

everyone should have a nice cat to accompany a build, whether plastic or metal.

cheers on such a nice model by the way. it's truly amazing, and although i'm a plastic builder, who's taking a break at the moment, i might want to change to metal after seeing this.

  • @taterfamine

Yes, Mishi, ¨the modeler cat¨ died a few years ago. Companion of so many long nights of modeling, I devoted a link on my website. Thank you for your very kind comment.

  • This is by far the best scale model on the net!!! The detail is truly amazing and even more so, the patience!

What materials did you use for the parts and just out of interest what tools did you use for the scratch building process? I'm asking because i want to get into scratch building myself.

    Great vid!!!

  • @wellardme

Thank you for your comment. I use aluminum and hand tools. I am preparing a commercial video to show my techniques and tips.

  • thats amazing job there, how long did it take you to build it? i've seen B-17's in person and that looks just like one, you did a great job on it.

  • @GoldenGolfer3

Thanks for watching my videos. About two years and two months

  • you're one big freak! but a really really really talented one! just amazing how much details you've put in it! how long did you work on it?

  • @underworldlounge

Thank you. Two years and two months.

  • A masterpiece! It has no equal.....

  • @graplingurty

    Thanks for the comment, Mike!

  • OK, but could you build it in a bottle? God bless

  • That is unbelivable, I've been in a B-17 and this looks exactly like it, right down to the paint on the parts, and there is fewer dents on the wings then the real ones! I've tried things much simpler, and everything ends up a twisted, uneven mess. I dont know how you even started working on this, but I agree with videoman931, this could end up in the Smithsonian. Beautiful job, simply breath taking.

  • @Idaho278

I appreciate the kind words, Zach!

  • That was the most incredible piece of Art I've ever seen. You're in a totally different league. Out on your own. What an unbelieveable talent. Sir, I salute your brilliance. Just stunningly accurate, beautiful beyond anything I've ever seen. I'm so gutted I don't have skill of that kind. Just amazing, Mate. That deserves an Award.

  • @stig99914

Thank you for your very kind words! One of my reasons to show these models is that people can appreciate that despite all the new technology (laser cutting, photo etching, etc.), it is still possible to build models using the mind, hands and simple tools, and without spending money on expensive electrical machines (lathes, drilling, etc).

  • I agree wholeheartedly with HallaBalla 1959. This is without doubt the most fantastic example of model-making artistry I have ever seen. This should be in the Smithsonian. This goes beyond mere model-making. You've taken this to a new stratospheric level that is just unbelievable. The detail is staggering and the workmanship is beyond belief. You are a true artist. Congratulations on your remarkable achievement.

  • There is NO WAY you are a human being! A billion dollars at NASA couldn't build that either! I demand to know what planet you are from! Tell me! And the cat looks strangely alien as well. NICE JOB, now excuse me while I go change my shorts. I would love to gawk at that for an hour or two next time I'm at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, justa-thought.. Or hint..

  • @arbee11

    Hahaha, greetings from Ganymede!!!

  • There is NO WAY you are a human being! A billion dollars at NASA couldn't build that either! I demand to know what planet you are from! Tell me! And the cat looks strangely alien as well. NICE JOB, now excuse me while I go change my shorts.

  • @airborne50804

Thank you for your kind comment. You are right, I would need a lot of time to teach my techniques (many people do not understand and believe that I have plenty of time)...That is why I am working to make some video tutorials in the future.

  • bueno, esto directamente no existe. No puede ser. Será el Non Plus Ultra de las maquetas

  • You have to change the title of the video; this is not a "scale model"; this is a "masterpiece model".

I am really curious to know which is your daily job...

The video is great because shows a great workmanship; but I believe it would be simply astonishing to see a video showing while you are creating these masterpieces...

  • @Tecnobingo

Thank you for your kind comment, I really appreciate it. I´ll make videos about my techniques and tips.

  • @rojasbazan

You should definately make a list of vids on modelling tips from the basics to advanced. A lof of us want to learn to scrach build even for dios. And you would have manyyyyy loyal followers.

  • @waterlooreader

Hi, thank you for your kind comment! Someday I´ll publish some material (videos and books) to teach all of my techniques (there will answer your questions). My beloved cat died a few years ago. I gave him a link on my own website.

  • Stunning! Absolutely stunning! Here I thought I was something detailing a Monogram TBD cockpit in 1/48 plastic ;)

You're a master craftsman. I was really wondering 1) how the heck you did the plexi without using any electrical devices 2) how many hours that took.

  • @barkon

Hello, thank you for your kind comment. You do not neeed to use electrical devices to build plastic canopies (there are many websites that teach how to make). Usually need a year to build a model (single engine). I needed two years to build the B-17.

  • Wow, to the Smithsonian I say! Fantastic Work!!!!
