the whole list isn't entirely the same, some people win multiple times because they have good ideas and they enter the contests regularly. mismag gives decks to people who deserved it and doesn't exclude people just because they've won already

Next time just do leave out the "must be original" rule because there are always winners who don't do anything original (TheAlakazams and Debuggermagic this time).

I am very disappointed in you breaking your own rules by having Singingbanana being third even he totally deserved it.

And Plazity's trick must be the dirtiest self working trick invented. Don't know if I really like it because of that.

I only know that TheAlakazams and Debuggermagic their tricks wasn't original as that is as far as my magical knowledge goes. I don't know about singingbanana's. I don't think spectators would like it so much as they want to enjoy magic and not want to do so much work. In the end there are only few cards left so guessing the card would not be seen as very spectacular (patter?) and with all the work on their hands you can easily even have a peek at what they are doing without them noticing it hah

'Magic squares' are used in quite some close-up and stage magic shows, in every possible way you can imagine (especially with playing cards, in close-up magic).

And count-locating Four Ace routines are very common as well, also in multiple ways. There is nothing original in spelling out the aces and have an indicator card finding the last one as kicker.

Every magician would be able to tell you this.

They were not original at all. Well, maybe debuggermagic was by getting the indicator card in the very beginning but that's not what I think would make a difference between original or not, same with TheAlakazams' 21 which could've been 15 (3x3 cards) too.

But yes, I think they both deserved to win, that's why I said that I think that mismag should get rid of the "must be original" rule.

And for something over 10% originality, I'm on my way. I'm getting help of a pro these days so no worries.

Exactly. He was only ever going to please 5 people out of 275. That's how contests work. Not everyone can be a finalist. That's like 1.8%. The other 98.2% should realise that it is a CONTEST.....which means you enter with the knowledge that you do your best, but only a small portion can win a prize. Why don't some of the whingers run a contest where they give ALL 275 entrants a prize.....maybe that would be fairer.....duh

cards to count to get to the prediction card. This qualifies as both mathematical and self working.
