  • oui, demain matin :-)

  • was this uploaded with an iPhone?

  • This song is firmly stuck in 1971.The reason for that is,I think, is when it left the charts DJs opened a studio window and frisbeed every copy into the shrubs.Never to be heard again until now.Great,(even if brain rattling) song.

  • Looks like the joke wall from Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In and the song likes it could sung on the Electric Company.

  • Has anybody noticed a similarity between this song and the later "Cum On Feel the Noize" by Slade and even later, Quiet Riot? "Where's your mama gone?"/ "Cum On Feel the Noize"........then, "Far, far away"/ Wild, wild wild".

  • Possible darker interpretation of this song:

Baby Dolls Mumma witnessed her husband get taken far far away by chirping aliens leaving her iin stunned shock mimicking the chirping aliens while her daughter watches... Then. it was her turn... mwahahaahaaaaaa

Maybe it sounded like THIS!: ... /watch?v=6nwVNHqWgK0

  • I sang this as a kid at school! coool!

  • Great song,R.IP. Keith(her son)who was killed in a motorbike accident aged 20.

  • no. 1 the day i was born explains a difficult birth!!

  • absolutely dreadful!

  • thanks 4 posting :-)

  • Oh yeah it makes allot more sense than today's crap. None of us heard this group until lately.

The American version was by Mac and Katie Kisson.

Someone removed the c.d. version of that song a couple of weeks ago.

It would be nice if it found it way back.

I do like this very much. It seems to carry the feel of the late 60's and 70's even better....

  • for fux sake!!!

  • ciao hi nice song bella canzone

    gtanco 1949

  • Great tune....silly, but good.

Why is the picture so, er, thin?

  • i´ll like it, these nice songs just get lost and all forget them^^

  • this is my karaoke song (if they make me sing) thanks for this one x

  • This is the kind of pablum they played on pop radio in the seventies while ignoring Sabbath, Humble Pie, Led Zeppelin, Creedence, Deep Purple......

  • I don't think them bands were ignored. I am sure if you do a survey more people will have heard of Led zeppelin and deep purple rather than middle of the road. Just that they have a different group of fans.

  • i love classics musics like this !

  • That was the last song, I saw my parents dance to!

(They are both way beyond their 60s now xD )

  • my fave song over any other this was big when i was a kid in the summer of 71...best bass line

  • number one on june 24 , 1971 in uk

  • What is it about this song that people like it so much.

It is a dumb song that makes no sense.

Yet there are about 18 "official" versions of it that have been released.

AND I have listened to all of them . . .

    LOL

    Thanks for the post.

  • Yeh, the windows changes from time to time. Or did I just had one beer to much?

  • It was also #1 all over Scandanavia, especially Finland.

All over the summer of 1971 this was heard everywhere for about 3 months all over Europe. I saw them live in that summer in Helsinki, The Kyvahonne, I think it was. Those Finns sure know how to party! KS

  • Lol heard this on Children's Hour with Armstrong and Miller and then on Green Wing

  • hell, my parents just divorced, im in a kids home and this song comes out, I was 10!!!, 1st time i can listen in yrs and not cry! LOL

  • Check the bassline

  • chirpy chirpy cheep cheep :D Fuckin awesome:D

  • temazo jajajajaj

  • What does a frugal birdy say??? CHIRPY CHIRPY CHEEP CHEEP!

  • The bizarre world of European pop.

  • It's unbelievable how such a cheap and strange video can fit so perfect to such a great song!

    I love it!

  • los 70 fueron mejor que la porqueria de musica actual

  • The hot and thundery summer of 1971 - I remember it well. Was camping out in the Peak District at the time. Heard it wherever I went.. Great times!

  • los 70 han sido una de las peores epokas musikales k se recuerda pero los 90 y el siglo XXI la calidad musikal es penosa es diferente epoka patetika (los 70) y epoka penosa y askerosa ( los 90 y este siglo)

  • In what year did this song come out?

  • 1971

  • I remember loving this song as a little girl. Even though I'm an adult woman now, this song will always be sacred to me.

This song reminds me of my childhood back in the early 70´s.

  • My God haven't heard this in years. It was on the radio etc all the time when I was a kid. Thanks for posting it - brings back good memories....

  • amazing song! :D i love it

  • Yeah, I loved this song as a 5 year old girl. Now I have 2 girls of the same age, and they love it too. Like mom, like daughters..

  • They don't make 'em like this any more!

  • No, I agree. Thank christ

  • This is very nice music. Must be quiet old, isn't it? Where are they from?

  • It was a No.1 hit in 1971. Although to me it looks much older than that.

  • wow Monre you have great videos! this was a big hit in my native Mexico in late 71' one of my first records!

  • Awesome stuff, classic early 1970's

  • Reist die Hütte ab, reist die Hütte ab,ganz ganz schnell, gleich wirt's hell.

  • i think this was my first single.brings back memories

  • Great stuff!

Always remember this being on the radio on the school field on my last day at primary school (Newcomen Juniors, Redcar).

  • Lasst die Grünen rein, lasst die Grünen rein!

  • Than why did you view this flash asshole?

  • This song sums up the 70s perfectly

  • Otimos tempos que jamais voltarão..

Só quem viveu.. viveras e jamis esquecerar

  • awsome!
