its amazing how his voice has changed over the years. early years v. 1and 2 he sounds totally different. However I've seen him live 3 times and it's always a damn good show. amazing muscian and songwriter. Wishe he and DYLAN did somethign together.
Thanks for putting these up. I was at the show with my friend Dan. He loved the show.. 44 days later he was dead, I am happy he got to see Tom before he died..Thanks again.
Damn...It was a good show for him to catch. I was there with my best friend and it's one of my favorite memories with him. I can't imagine him not being here to share the memory with.
After hearing he played this song in Phoenix I got my hopes up that he'd play it in Tulsa. This wasn't the case; but he did play Invitation to the Blues! Thanks for putting this up here.
I was in the 2nd row in Birmingham, and paid face value: $102.50...the entire second row was released a week before the show. even got to shake tom's hand at the encore break. piss off scalpers.
I was at the St. Louis show. Waits didn't play any of his 70's jazzy music, but it didn't matter. He was great anyway, especially on "Lie to Me" and "Make it Rain," putting a lot into his performance, and was backed up by very good musicians. The "Day After tomorrow" sticks out too. Yeah, I would have liked to have heard "Christmas Card" or "Invitation to The Blues" which he's played in other tour stops, but will have to wait until he plays somewhere else again, hopefully in California.
Two people will buy 2 tickets (4 total) and then put "2 tickets" up on Ebay. The winning bidders will then meet the 2 ticketholders at the venue and will walk in with them as their "guests."
SOmehow..I managed to be front row center...Oh yeah... I paid $1500. on ebay to sit there. Worth every penny. SOme serious shit that close. Don't forget, folks, to set your digtal movies camera at it's darkest, most underexposed setting to help get the right exposure for this kind of hot spot lighting.
Oh my gosh this is phenominal...!!!

He's always had it, he'll never lose it. He has to be the greatest musician, in the truest sense of the word, ever to grace a stage.

Thank you so very much for posting this!
I was at the show on the 18th, and couldn't believe he played Christmas Card... when I read the previous night's setlist.
I was too startled by the security gaurd to take more video clips, I only caught three under one minute.ramblerambleramble.
Thanks!

thanks for posting this. Were you sitting by the guy with the walkie talkie?
tusptangar 3 years ago
I was in the third row about twenty feet from the security guard with the annoying walkie talkie. Glad Tom said something about it.
So glad he played Christmas song..., one of my favorites. :)
