Actually, getting Canada's economy out of recession was in part due to a GLOBAL recovery, plus the revenues generated by the GST - something Chretien campaigned AGAINST - and Martin continuing along Mulroney's economic path.
I want to see YOUR list of things Chretien might have done right. The economy wasn't his, nor was the decision to keep Canada out of Iraq - that decision was precipitated upon the military telling him they couldn't do any more than Afghanistan.
