I was privileged to see Dottie West at Cactus Pete's in Jackpot, Nevada in about 1990 and will never forget it. She deserves more than she ever received from Nashville. OneKewpie.
She used to come to my Grand-Dad's on Labor for his cook-out. She was a sheer delight and lot's of laugh's and of course soooo beautiful. We would always persude her to sing something and she would. Sometimes George and Tammy were there too! Wonderful memories, I wish I could turn time back.
For some reason, I really liked when it zoomed in on the Carters' clapping hands, it seemed really poignant for some reason..was Dolly Parton the hostess of this event? I vaguely remember a show she hosted on TV with President and Mrs. Carter (who were bit country music fans) in attendance, where Dolly jokingly and announced Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter-Cash. LOL
There is only word for country's uncrowned queen, and that is FABULOUS!!! The voice, the hair, the clothes, it is no wonder she is an icon to gay fans across the country. Who can forget her coke commercial with Country Sunshine? I had the pleasure to see her at the Grand Ole Opry, Bob Mackie fabulousness and all. Yay for Dottie!!!!
