I have Medieval 2 total war and when the Pope called a crusade on Anitoch i defeated the turds = Turks, i occupied the city and then the egypts besiged me i attacked them and won then my general got a trait named the holy lance it says that jesus got stab with it and it gives me 10 n command and 5 in manegment, 8 in chivalary please try it too
yeah when you send someone on a successful crusade they usually end up with a holy relic. When i was the germans i had a guy get the holy grail. Its just part of the game.
you can get holy grail, shroud of Turin, a piece of the original cross, the spear of destiny (thats what you had) and the ark of the covenant. (The last one is hard to get, i only got it once and then a few turns latter the character died.)
i dont really know how to get them exactly. I do know that if you take Jerusalem, acer, Damascus, certain parts of Egypt, and other areas of the holy land on a Crusade you will get them for your character. The Spear is one of the best, So is the ark. But the grail gives you better chivalry, makes you less likely to be killed by assassins, and better Authority (making everyone's loyalty alot better)

Their style if warfare, especially with all those cavallry and horses, didn't work as great in Europe as it did in the vast emptiness of Asia.

Also it's kind of funny how you're comparing two completly different things, the mongol invasion and the crusades. The crusaders never had a safe way to actually get their troops to the middle east, they had to rely mostly on ships and were heavily outnumbered in the "holy land".
Logistic used to be a problem back in the days, wich made large empires not viable back then.

Teutonic knights were like many knights murderes and exploited poor people and innocents. Like many knights they said that they figth for god so that they had an excuse for their looting and murdering.
They werent the best soldiers, they were slaugthers. Tukish janissarys, byzantine troops, english armies. That were excellent soldiers in the medieval times.

they went by a thing called CHIVALRY look it up and stop calling people you think were murders, look up their culture, and they were trained since te age of 7 to be a knight i don't think they would tarnish all those years of work to be a holy knight

@Victoryflag Well they didn't fight for honor alone. They mostly fought for their belief in Christianity. And they didn't believe that taking over other nations was a wonderful idea, they believed thay had to cleanse Europe of it's pagan infidels.

@Victoryflag It's one thing to be a murderer. But they were worse. They tortured, and raped, and threw babies into fires when they would take over a town. And not everyone was like that back then. Who was Saladin? Who was Richard the Lionheart? The chivalry in Europe didn't spread to the barbaric Teutons I suppose.

There language also was the baltic language, Old Prussian, which was in the baltic family of languages that includes lithuanian, and the baltic subfamily was the result of the split between baltic and slavic from their original ancestor balto-slavic.

They were not even good soldiers, they were just brutes. They were evil and demonic. They didn't follow Christ at all. They are just as evil and disgusting as the Roman Catholic church, which they were part of.

@JacobTheIndoAmerican The mongsol never made it far into Europe, also they mostly evaded forts and foritifications only devastating the country side. In the end they weren't really able to stay into Europe for that long at all or even force their way deeper into Europe.
Their style if warfare, especially with all those cavallry and horses, didn't work as great in Europe as it did in the vast emptiness of Asia.

Mongols just got over stretched. The fact they did swallowed Eastern Europe when their base is in Mongols is insane itself.

Also it's kind of funny how you're comparing two completly different things, the mongol invasion and the crusades. The crusaders never had a safe way to actually get their troops to the middle east, they had to rely mostly on ships and were heavily outnumbered in the "holy land".
Logistic used to be a problem back in the days, wich made large empires not viable back then.

You are right, you really cant compare the Crusaders and the Mongols. Because the Mongols conquered their way to Europe, and still wiped their ass even though their base was all the way in Mongolia.

Also you're pretty dead set on altering historic facts. Like completly ignoring that the mongols hardly had any settlements wich they need to defend in the first place and thus could throw the majority of their troops into battle. Also they never actually settled down in Europe at all.
