I do realize there are fighters out there that could be a threat to him (Brock, Carwin, Cain and Overeen being the main ones) and before he fights all those guys it's hard to say if he is or not the best p4p in the world, so far I believe he is the best Heavy Weight for his record, for everything he has done

Fedor fought ufc champs that were not signed again to the ufc. He beat Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski.... there's a reason why they weren't signed back they just aren't good. Yeah unlike many on youtube I actually saw the first UFC at 13 years old in 93. My dad and I watched it on pay per view. Watching grapplers like Gracie and Shamrock beat on everyone, prompted me to start wrestling at age 14. My dad got stationed in Japan for 5 years and I got to learn wrestling in high school and from a professional shootfighter who competed in Pancrase at age 18. Wrestling with Jui Jitsu and strikes is nasty hands down.

Im amazed that there isnt more sambo fighters, as sambo is pretty much mma with it being a mixture of the best parts different martial arts rolled into one, as the top HW fighter in the world is a Sambo fighter and the russinan military get trained it in training theres no shortage of sambo fighters. Im sure theres other mma organisations wheres theres plenty of sambo fighters probably in russia would defo like to see more russians in the UFC...wel have to see what fedor decides to do now =)

There is a good chance. Randy's greco roman wrestling skills kept him in that fight for awhile. Even though Brock was the larger of the two, when you are a greco guy, you know how to position yourself well. If Brock has wrestled greco, it would have been in high school. But Randy had a pretty good greco career.
Lesnar destroy Mir badly, but if any of you had practice any sport, you know that you cant stay at home waiting for the fight as Mir told in some interview. He wasn't concentrated enough for that fight.
Whenever he retires I would really like to see him go into commentary. He's got a lot of good insights and obvious first hand knowledge of the sport. Maybe he could commentate for Strikeforce.

Of course Mercer would lose to Fedor in an MMA match. I dont think Fedor would KO him though or even knock him down as fast as he did Sylvia. Fedor by submission in the 1st rd is my guess. Oh damn, my knowledge of Fedor Emelianenko's contractual issues is a few months old, whatever will I do? Given that Fedor only fights about twice a year (not counting exhibition matches, like the one against Mousasi), I really can't be bothered to keep up-to-date more often than that. Who cares? It's his fighting that matters, which is obviously quite effective. Using apostrophes is also quite effective.

Fedor fought ufc champs that were not signed again to the ufc. He beat Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski.... there's a reason why they weren't signed back they just aren't good. They got big during the years the ufc basically had no heavyweight division. Fedor is good but the ufc is just a whole other level.

Yeah unlike many on youtube I actually saw the first UFC at 13 years old in 93. My dad and I watched it on pay per view. Watching grapplers like Gracie and Shamrock beat on everyone, prompted me to start wrestling at age 14. My dad got stationed in Japan for 5 years and I got to learn wrestling in high school and from a professional shootfighter who competed in Pancrase at age 18. Wrestling with Jui Jitsu and strikes is nasty hands down.

There are a lot of good fighters out there especially in some Eastern European nations, Brazil, etc. I would like to see some. UFC has never had a lot of Sambo experts, Combat Wrestlers, Shootfighters, Pankration, etc. I'm suprised I do not see more Russians since they were so big into wrestling in the Olympics and Sambo.

Im amazed that there isnt more sambo fighters, as sambo is pretty much mma with it being a mixture of the best parts different martial arts rolled into one, as the top HW fighter in the world is a Sambo fighter and the russinan military get trained it in training theres no shortage of sambo fighters. Im sure theres other mma organisations wheres theres plenty of sambo fighters probably in russia would defo like to see more russians in the UFC...wel have to see what fedor decides to do now =)

There is a good chance. Randy's greco roman wrestling skills kept him in that fight for awhile. Even though Brock was the larger of the two, when you are a greco guy, you know how to position yourself well. If Brock has wrestled greco, it would have been in high school. But Randy had a pretty good greco career.

Nobody in the sport would EVER "not touch gloves" with their opponent. And if you knew anything about what you're typing, you would know that even Dana White was pissed at Lesnar and made him apoligize at the press conference afterwards because his show after the fight was embarrasing. I know it's not a kids sport, but everyone else in UFC shows at least a medial line of respect for their opponents and the sport. Lesnar talked just as much trash prefight as well.
