It's a very touching scene. All the happy moments would be gone with that "toy". Kit learns her lesson here. Also, it's soooo nice to see Tina, Bette, Angie going back home together. What a happy ending! :-D

I think that's probably why she didn't mention it about the gun, she probably knew that not only would it ruin their day but she also figured that if she told them they'd never trust her with Angie again, I'm just glad she got into that room in time.
