  • whats the song that plays at the end credits? i haven't heard it anywhere else.

  • frighteningly beautiful- i swear i have goosebumps right now

  • amazing' how can people dislike this?

  • Does anyone else wanna smack whoever was shinning that laser?

  • 2:10 " U 4real right now?"

  • no matter how many times i listen to this song, i absolutely love it..If only i could make a "million" like to this song at one go!

  • I want this song to be played as i'm being put to rest, incredibly beautiful <3

  • I love the backing of Sam's sister, but I wish that for the last verse she'd let just Sam sing. The atmosphere is so incredible in and watching a performance of this song when only Sam is singing the last verse.

  • While maybe not the most exciting live performer to ever take the stage, Sam is certainly one of the better singer/songwriters of this generation. Unlike on the album, this version is completely raw with just two voices and an acoustic guitar. It isn't muddled with unnecessary instruments or effects. This song sends chills up and down my spine.

  • Does the tempo or chord progression change on the studio version of this song?

  • @22zson the tempo is different on the studio version.

  • my son ruby turned me on to this guy and wow i like this guy alot where did you come from?

  • LOL at 2:10 at "Fuck the Man". The chicks face is like; "What!? Oh right that's a part of the song" *Continues Spacing out*.

    I fucking love this song!

  • im in awe...

this song reminds me of my boyfriend :D

  • Oh...God,Amazing......Just makes me cry,so much soul...

  • I've watched this video literally 100 times and every goddamn hair on my body still stands on end.

  • This is the first live version I've ever heard of this song where the crowd doesn't all cheer the "fuck the man" line. Well done.

  • 720p makes all the difference. Can't recommend it enough

  • That's one talented jesus !

  • it seemed rushed for most of the song, like they were trying to get it over with quick. i prefer the album version

  • the song is awesome but this acoustic rendition is not so great along with his vocals. kinda disappointed

  • @Gproducshizz Really? I think this is even better than the album version.

  • this is awesome

  • There's not a whole lot of artists who just... almost bring me to tears. He is absolutely wonderful. I wish I could curl up in his voice, in this song, and live forever.

  • Blah. Whatever.

    That woman just moaning.

  • Great artist!

  • i want to be his gf so bad!

  • r.i.p ryan dunn we will miss u

  • @deadpoetsic What?

  • @deadpoetsic LOL this isn't Ryan Dunn you fucktard.

  • I wish he had done the whole song.

  • "with maps, a mountain range, a piggy bank...a vision to removed to mention." yeah, try and beat that.

  • this song should get way more views its a good song

  • This song makes me tear up everytime.sich an amazing story

  • Absolutely beautiful...cannot say anymore.

  • Powerful....

  • doucher with the laser fuck you

  • @Iog1O Its a reflection from a stage light

  • This is so beautiful, never fails to give me goosebumps

  • This is their best harmony, her voice really stands out in a good way on this track.

There's something about a male / female vocal like this that just speak to your heart

  • I went to an open mic and a girl covered this song beautifully. Thanks to her for introducing me to this song.

  • a better like to dislike ratio than Hitlers kill to death ratio.

  • Guys I'm not even joking, I think I was the one that hit the dislike button a couple of weeks ago, because I was crying so hard.

  • @KFCBUCKETS sucks to be you nerd.

    lol jk brah

  • This deserves 100x the views it currently has.

  • This live version is much better than the recorded one! I adore it!

  • Ha! Ol' Lady sitting next to him grew quite despondent over the "fuck the man" line.

  • i feel like Iron & Wine should be one of the few things people don't fight over, but you guys still manage to ruin it. Shut the fuck up and listen

  • I love this song so so much. Never fails to make me tear!

  • @yishbot have you seen the Atlanta version? thats my favorite, but they're all amazing. Sam is the man.

  • my art teacher played this friday on the last day of highschool and everyone started crying.

  • Masterpiece!

  • 2:27 to 2:31... Is that the lead singer of Little Dragon in the front row?

  • This song helps me untie the knots of memories in my head. Life is full of so many moments of guilt, complexity and serenity, but Sam Beam wrote the song that releases all of these demons, ghosts and angels in unison. We soar high, and yeah, we swing low, but The Trapeze Swinger ties the human condition together in a gorgeously forgiving light.

  • Someone must have accidentally hit the dislike button.

  • I'm going to speak for everyone and say it...FUCK MATT & KIM

  • @KFCBUCKETS who's matt and kim?

  • whats with the lazer

  • this song is like...life in one song.

  • 1 person here is probably an N Dubz fan - this song is immense...properly immense!

  • damn...I don't know how he can sing this without crying....because I can't listen to it without, absolutely beautiful...

  • What sick fuck disliked this video?

  • @haydnroar me

  • Capo is on the fourth fret for this video.

  • fuck this song destroys me

  • before the video even started i clicked "Favorite"!

  • Something so wonderfully amazing to see a brother and sisters making music together. Imagine the growing up years with all the harmonies and likely fights - all love. Thanks..

  • this is the song im gonna play at my dads funneral

  • This sounds different from the CD version but both are lovely!!

  • What was the song at the very end of the video? Sounded like a weird version of resurrection fern

  • Is that the 4th fret the capo's on?

  • @TheSingingCello i think it's on the 3rd in this instance... although i think he differentiates between half-step down, Drop D and Standard tuning on various songs in his back catalogue.

  • best 7 minutes of my life!

  • His songs dont make sense but do at the same time. His songs are so gorgeous

  • @etherealpears Some of his songs are really poetic and are in need of interpretation. But this one is sorta in your face.

  • @etherealpears read the lyrics, they do make sense.

  • he seems like a super down to earth guy. LOVE.

  • Awesome. They're amazing. Hate to be nit-pickey but I'd a backed off sis's vox there toward the end. Much more dramatic. Still amazing though. Gives you goosebumps, especially live.

  • @bdiggitty1 Funny, I liked hearing her more for a change. Regardless, there's something so special about siblings doing harmony together.... I imagine all the years growing up, singing together and alone.....

  • i just cme cumpassion

  • Beautiful song!!

  • one of the things I want to do before I die is see Iron and wine live...:)

  • f0rl<!!!

  • If Iron & Wine put you through this Winter with a smile you'll love my new Music Video :: Tell it To the Birds!!!!!

  • woah wait, he cut out the 2 verses after "remember me fondly" and skipped to "as in the dream".... still amazing though

  • If you guys like Iron and Wine you should check out Broken Fences. Myspace is /broken-fences

  • Dear @AnotherPlasticWeeknd + the 15 people who liked the comment, the song was not released in 2011... Try 2004.

  • @easyluckyfuhree

Well, now, he did only say that he heard it in 2011. Besides which, Iron & Wine never plays a song the same way twice, and this is much more recent than the album.

  • i cant find the right words to explain what this song means to me. Its like the most hopeful song i have ever heard. It gives me all sought's of hope both in this life and the next. thank you iron and wine.

  • i love the song but doesnt that dude look like zack galifinakis from the hangover

  • amazing song!

  • possibly the best song ive ever heard

  • all hail the man-beard

  • One person fell off of the trapeze while they were swinging...

  • wow... makes my cover look really.. really horrible hahaha. Great song, well done.

  • fuck that one guy that thumbed down he's an asshole troll

  • @sebastianfel lol.

  • iron & Wine is a poet I think will be remembered with guys like Poe, Hemingway & early Dylan...He's slightly more poetic than David lee Roth & a drop deeper than New Kids on The Block...

  • Their voices are so tight! Impressive!!!!

  • fuck the man

  • Broke my young heart.

  • my favourite band! but i can't see this video on vevo..that katy perry add just doesn't let me!

  • How come I haven't heard of Iron & Wine till now?

  • holy shit

  • @brinelaxE3

ah yes. that is just what I kept saying after every song at my last Iron and Wine show. Our young friend described it best though, as "a Clusterfuck of Awesomeness"

  • That's right!..Fuck the man!..

  • 6500 views for someone who actually has talent

And 65,000,000 views for a Disney Dork karaoke kid who probably couldn't find his ass with both hands.

Yep, our world today is pretty f-ing amazing.

  • @tetrabromobisphenol lol...Thumbs up for you!..

  • SO... kelly family :-)

  • <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • Beautiful. So easy to get lost in the words.

  • This song makes my heart swing on a trapeze.

  • I got goosebumps, I love it.

  • I just came. thanks Sam Beam for making me change my pants again for the 5th time this week

  • so peerfect

  • omg - im in heaven :D

  • So soulful, this is by far one of the best songs ive heard in 2011!

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd It's not from 2011 though it's really old, just in case you didn't know haha.

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd I've been listening to this song for about 5 years now... still, yea, it's just that good!

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd i agree!!

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd definitely not a new song. the brilliance shined on us a while ago. i think 2004 or so?

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd HEY GUYS PLEASE CECK OUT MY BAND youtube.com/watch?v=q_SnCAv-Rqo&feature=BF&list=FLAJ7CQW1wvmQ&index=1

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd Pretty sure this song is much older then 2011

  • @TheBenny48 lol chill the f*ck out hipster i'm sure this song is vintage as.. but i said "best song i"e heard in 2011" . not composed. douche f*ck.

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd Sorry man. My tight jeans were a little too tight that day and I was fresh out of American Spirits and PBR.

  • @TheBenny48 haha, touche

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd this is actually not from 2011, it was on around the well and was written long before that, id say this song is about six years old. Love Sam, best songwriter of our generation and tbus stands as a testament to that.

  • @AnotherPlasticWeeknd its ashame he wrote and released it in 2005.... but yeah if thats your standard of time then Curtis Mayfields "Superfly" is by far the best song of 2010

  • @camelspider99 wow your a piss-ant enjoy the fuxing song. and i said best song I HAVE HEARD, HEARD IS THE KEY WORD NOT best song WRITTEN, retard.
