This game is really, really good! But the only thing that creeped me out were all the dead bodies, human screaming (ordering officers?) and the dancing corpse. Other than that, the dinosaur really made me laugh.
why are so many game designers under the impression that people swing their heads 3 feet from side to side every time they move faster than a slow walk?
@foof811 They can call it whatever they want but its the same ridiculous headbob you find in most fps games these days, except even more exaggerated than usual. Seriously, go take a quick run and tell me if your vision swings side to side like that.
@Superabound2 It's purposefully meant to be disorientating, because your in a narrow trench with water up to your knees, running away from raptors. The later part where you vision is heavily reduced when you wear the gasmask is another example of how it is meant to be disorientating, which forces you to use your "blind eyes" to feel your way through the trenches.
@foof811 To an extent that's fine, but to the degree that they do it here it's just ridiculous. making it really dark or doing this sort of thing for one chase sequence makes sense in a game like this but if you do it all the time it just gets stupid and tedious. The point of horror is that we don't see everything, but if we can't see anything that ruins it.
@Superabound2 in cod there is no meaning for it but in ww1 where they had shell shock and fear of being bombarded and war crimes haven't really been established so it was a basic free for all and that you are a young German soldier this young man has to take in the reality of many deaths and saving his self
@MajBlood Anything but a robot dino - not exactly horror in my opinion. The setting is there, the mood, it all seems to good to be true for an indie game, untill that dino appears. Though I will give you, that it is indeed shocking the first few times you encounter it, it´s gets old fast.
@MathiasKaizer They didn't seem like robot dinosaurs to me. And dude, dinosaurs are fucking scary. Especially Raptors. Certainly a lot scarier than zombies.
Looks amazing, I like the SFX as well. I don't know whether the player was just lost or what he was trying to do but it felt odd that dinosaurs were ignoring a live juicy prey in favor of bits and pieces of rotten bodies.
