While I agree mass protest is needed, I think the government has done two things to tear it down. 1, they have created so many distractions, dumb-downed people, and use complex tactics in order to disguise what they really are doing. 2, there is a lack of balanced in protests. A lot of protesters are pretty extreme and violent. I am for an all peaceful protest b/c a violent one would make us seem nuts like those protesting G20 in Pitts. Americans, due to extremism, choose unfavorable tactics.
By complex tactics, I mean the healthcare bill and the bogus townhall meetings, the media bloats itself with this, thus allowing the gov. to try to pass unconstitutional bills. Another tactic is to stress the severity of a situation through overload in order to make it pointless such as waterboarding. They stupidly debated it for weeks and in the end, succeeded in exhausting people of the debate thus erasing the severe crimes committed by the U.S. gov. from the minds of the people.
This is the same thing the CIA does when they release classified info YEARS later to a new generation that could care less. It's history.
As for protesters, because of extremism, few have a well-balanced mind TO protester because mob mentality is either collectively intelligent or stupid and in America, a lot of the times, it is the latter mostly due to one or two people willing to start up a riot. Peaceful protest is the way to go.
but these kind of tactics were used in the American Revolution. This kind of thing has been predicted... just like what could happen next week (saturday the 12th) in Washington... a mass protest of over 12000 people on the streets.

You are right, of course, but first we need to understand that most "legal, uspstanding citizens" are engaged in commerce.
Almost no one knows what that really means. Yes, it would be a shame if your child was blocked from urgent medical care by such an action.
On the other hand, there are always sacrifices to be made in a revolution.
Think about the families of Iraqi, Afghan and now Pakistani civilians who have perished. They stayed on the sidewalk, and lost everything.

Naomi Wolf, a progressive, is wrong when she says we live in a Democracy. She stated that street protests cannot work today and are fake activism due to permits needed. Search on civilian purges to see that millions died, and failed, using protests. There are far better ways to protest than using the streets. Be creative in what you alone will do. You should be prepared to die for America. The Secretary of Defense will use chemical and bio weapons on us; don't give them the chance on the street.

The way around that little law is holding your ground!!! Almost every video up with a protest and police have the protesters pissing down their leg and and doing as the police say. If people would stand up and say FINE haul us off then! At that point you are standing up and saying NO! So now if you have a few hundred people saying GO FOR IT TAKE US ALL IN. Guess what... They cant do it because they just dont have the room or staff to pull it off. So start standing up for your rights!!!!

In the full vid she gushes about how Obama is a "Constitutional scholar" who is going to fix the abuses of the Bush admin. While I have no argument with what she says, she is an ardent Obama supporter and tries to link Bush with Hitler. I'm gunna have to disagree with the mass protest, not that I don't think it's a good idea on paper. The reason I don't think that will work is that you would need alot of people to do it, and all at roughly the same time. Anything less then that and you will just make it that much easier for them to round U up like cattle, or atleast identify who they should round up when they are ready to make there move. Another reason is it would have to be 100% non-violent, or it won't be credible. *peace*

funny that u mention vaccinations...my ex wife and her husband are trying to force my daughter to get the Gardasil vaccination. they will not allow her to get her learner's permit to drive if she won't agree to get the vacc....i'm furious over this....there have been AT LEAST 28 DEATHS (perhaps more) associated w/this "vaccination".

While I agree mass protest is needed, I think the government has done two things to tear it down. 1, they have created so many distractions, dumb-downed people, and use complex tactics in order to disguise what they really are doing. 2, there is a lack of balanced in protests. A lot of protesters are pretty extreme and violent. I am for an all peaceful protest b/c a violent one would make us seem nuts like those protesting G20 in Pitts. Americans, due to extremism, choose unfavorable tactics.

By complex tactics, I mean the healthcare bill and the bogus townhall meetings, the media bloats itself with this, thus allowing the gov. to try to pass unconstitutional bills. Another tactic is to stress the severity of a situation through overload in order to make it pointless such as waterboarding. They stupidly debated it for weeks and in the end, succeeded in exhausting people of the debate thus erasing the severe crimes committed by the U.S. gov. from the minds of the people.

As for protesters, because of extremism, few have a well-balanced mind TO protester because mob mentality is either collectively intelligent or stupid and in America, a lot of the times, it is the latter mostly due to one or two people willing to start up a riot. Peaceful protest is the way to go.
