What a load of effing bullshit! Catholic Charities is only closing its adoption services- it is not closing its homelss shelters as that has nothing to do with gay marriage. The maker of this video is using a homeless woman, with no understnding of this issue, to rant against a Church, that she does not understand. Wow! and fucking pathetic!

This is a lie. The Church will only shut down programs where the government forces the Church to adopt to homosexual couples or unmarried straight couples. Now of course the maker of this video is intentionally spreading lies to misinform people. So sad you have to lie when you do not have the facts on your side. And to take advantage of these homeless people is sad. It is sad this woman who the Catholic church takes care of so quickly turns her back on the Church some the gay agenda lied.

@reasonandfacts where I live, United Kingdom, we have civil partnerships but religious organizations have exemption from having to place children with gay couples or perform gay civil ceremonies. Nice try mate but you cant make this into an issue of religious liberty

What a stupid pastor. The government can't force the churches to marry anyone. The only institutions that have to marry gay people now are the court houses. Any church that WANTS to marry gay people can do so if it pleases, but no church is going to be forced into it. This is just more proof that religious nuts are ignorant as hell.

. The interviewer completely misrepresented the issue. Catholic charities already provides services for gays. What this bill does is force any agency which recieves tax $ to perform gay marriages . What the churches are doing is refusing to recieve state funding, which will cause them to have less revenue and thus have to cut services. The state can then find other charities to give that money to so no services are lost. Catholic charities is NOT refusing to help gay homeless people.

What I found interesting about these interviews is Rev Walker's comment that he's pissed at the City Council's abuse of authority -- not specifically about whether gay couples should be allowed to marry.

Patrick Walker is an idiot. This law will not force any church to wed anyone. I can't go into a church and force them to marry me to anyone, male or female. The law would allow a gay couple to be married legally. It wouldn't force churches to officiate...geez.

As a Black person, I wonder if many of these Black Churches that are outright LYING about this Legislation and what its stating (as one just did in this video) and against equal rights for the GLBT Community are willing to STEP UP and provide food, shelter and accomodations for the many BLACK homeless people there are in D.C? I know other races are homeless, but D.C Is predominantly black and it seems we raging a war against our own people.

I just wonder what these Black Pastors will do?
