Hey Brian, My ball python just ended shedding but part of his head still has shedded skin and every time i try to rub it off he backs his up and gets in the strike position what do you recommend?

@33reptilelover im not brian lol but what i do is soak the snake in luke warm water for about 20 or 30 min (if it feels warm to you it feels hot to your snake) then take her out and gently rub the skin off (it comes free very easily) if u dont wana do it yourself, lightly dampen a towel and put it in a bin place the snake on the towel and fold the remaining part of the towl over your snake and the skin will come of as she moves around the bin (particuly affective with agressive snakes)

@33reptilelover just do the towel thing, dont soak it. snakes secrete a fluid between the old and new skins to help them shed it off, and soaking them is like washing it all off of them, so do the towel thing

@33reptilelover take a pillow case, turn it inside out. take a towel, soak it in luke warm water, ring as much water out as you can, fold it, place the towel in the pillow case, set the snake between the folds of the towel, and as the snake crawls through it, it will help loosen the skin enough to come off. you may have to leave it in for 30-45 mins, but it will help the shed come off.
