hey man, thats beautifull. found ur video because i just found the same model of harmonica in my grandads old suitcase and i have no clue how to play it but it looks like it wants to be played. u got any tips? im fairly musical but never played the harmonica before, seems a shame for it to sit in its box in a drawer somewhere
My grandfather used to play this song. He died just this week and we'll be playing this very song at his funeral. Thank you very much for playiing and posting this, from myself and my entire family.
I'm sorry for your loss.I'm very happy your grandfather liked Danny boy. So did mine and my father also. it's a true classic straight from the heart. I'm sure playing it at his funeral will keep him smiling in Heaven for a very long time to come.
@williegogo Hi. that was great playing of "Oh Danny Boy" Bought a harmonica today found out it was an echo harp. have you any useful tips on how to make different sounds with it? steph- Ireland :)
Very nice. Could you please explain how to clean the echo harp? - it has'nt any screws. I've had one for a very long time and some notes arn't getting through
Mine never do. I tap it hard enough to shake out the excess water and dry it off with a towl. I have been doing it this way for years now and have no problems with it at all. Have a great day.
because it's a 1950's model made today. I've got one. Just bought a used one today (it took me hours to clean it and get all the dirt and spit out, but it was worth it) and got it for a dirt cheap price at 5 euros.
williegogo, I just purchsed an Honer 28 echo hamonica, in the key of C, but it has no number coding as the special 20, and other diatonics, and it seems lower then my special C harmonica, no high notes, so I can play most of my gospel songs, any ideas, it did a search with no results...Thanks, Scott..

I usualy just soak mine in warm water then hit it gently on my knee. It seems to work for me.

...won't it rust?

I'm just trying to figure out how to play this echo harp in CG. How is it different from a normal harmonica? I'm fooling around with it now.

Not a lot of difference ... except the double reeds take a little more wind power to blow
