What is the noise called when he lets off of the gas, and it makes a sort of pop/growl? Is that from back pressure? I hope not, because I love that sound.
umm... okay... so all you just did is name an engine that "you claim" dominates mine. Do you even own a 2.7T powered Audi? Matter of fact, a stock 2.7T A6 does 0-60 in 6 seconds. That's 1 second slower than a stock G35. And even if it WAS actually faster, so what? I never claimed to own the fastest thing nor is my car a "show car". A 2JZ makes a shit load more power than "your" Audi, what's your point?
The 2.7T is 250 HP and 258 LBFT. This G35 is 306 HP and 268 LBFT and that's under the new ratings which are lower vs the pre 2007 HP & TQ ratings. A stock 07-08' G35 6MT sedan runs around a 13.7 @ 103 mph in the 1/4 with a good driver. Even the automatic G35 runs 13.8-13.9 @ 101-102 mph. I see guys at the track with stock B5 S4's running between 14.0 and 14.2 @ 98-99 mph tops. That's not bad for stock and the S4 is an awesome car but, it can't take an 07-08' G35 without mods.
@harorider95 So 0-60 in mid 5 seconds is no go? Even if the Audi was faster which it is not, it is considerably more expensive than a brand new g37 and a slightly used g35. At the end of the day, i would rather have a car that won't cost me an arm and a leg to keep running. Infiniti, the obvious choice.
@dukviper90 Dude the 2.7t completely stock with a stage 2+ chip will run 0-60 under 4 ALL DAY u could never get 110hp from a chip and 93 EVER, and yes i do own a 2.7t

All you have to do is buy an oem g35 exhaust and have a muffler shop weld it in for you, it wont sound exactly the same but that close sound your looking for :)
Would LOVE to see my car do this kind of sound,,, but the only way to do that is by gettind a g35..lol... but for you guys that know about this,, is there anything out there that would help my maxima 3.5 get some what close to this sound... (i dont lik really loud ones) something light like the g35...?!?!?!?!?
I have the Tanabe Touring Medalion for my G35. It did a pretty good job of sticking to the Deep tone VQ rasp, unlike some exhaust where it sounds like metal clinging against each other. Here's a link of a 3.5L Altima with one, sounds similar to the G35. Maybe a BIT louder, but Tanabe's always been good about keeping it under 93db.
lol you CAN NOT compare these cars. Before I bought my car, I test drove the Acura TL and TL-S and to my surprise my efing honda accord was faster. Which is pathetic I might add. Test Drive a 08 G35 or G37 and then make that same comment. Your V6 is S*** compared to our VQHR Engine bud. Thanks for wasting space on teh internet!
@dghboybigboy - baah maybe, idk. I don't have a V6 anymore I have an Inline 4=(. I bought an 03 RSX Type S. I'm not a fan of the TL anymore they are slow, much slower then I thought. I wanted an 06 AV6 but someone bought it before I could, those accord are quick. I'm done playing childish games with luxury/sporty bullshit mix. Once I sell my RSX I'm buying an Evo 8 or 9, I'll get a lot of mod back up here in Ohio, Buschur Racing is located here.

@Armiansky I'm sure the Porsche 911 turbo is a Flat 6, not a V6. It is more like a Subaru Flat 4 motor but with 2 extra cylinders.
