no dary, the emissions ddn't rise 35% higher than kyoto targets when dion was environment minister. it rose whe the liberals were in power for 12 years. dion was only env min for 1.5 yeas. harper gave 5 priorities for last year and he delivered. you can't have everything as a priority, b/c then nothing is a priority. watch for env to be a priority this year.
The next time a PM comes from Quebec I'm committing suicide. We had to deal with one for 12 fucking years....NEVER AGAIN ARE YOU CANADIANS RETARDED!? STOP SPREAD HAGGARD "French" accent... more like hillbilly mental home accent..god seperate you bastards and take you toast and your fries I dont fucking need them!
When Stephone Dion was 29 years old and studying abroad, a foreign goverment declared about Stephone "to be the first among the very best of them all". What the heck does a know-it-all like you have to do about anything related to Stephone Dion? I'll tell you...nothing but hot air. Let the Canadian public get to know the real Stephone Dion.
Who cares if Dion was environment minister for 1.5 years? The Liberals were in power for over 12 years, and over 10 of that was with a majority. Plenty of time to pass good environmental plans, but they screwed up.
I am disturbed by how narrow minded some of these posts are. Do you seriously think that on an issue as large as climate change, 1.5 years will have immediate affect? This shows how uncommitted conservatives are to the environment in demanding long term results from short term actions.
The conservatives under Harper have been more proactive and gotten more done during their short term as a minority government then the the liberals managed with this guy as environmental minister of a majority government. Thats a simple fact.
Dion was only enviro minister for 1.5 years and was very active. 25% of Canada's greenhouse gas emissions are from Alberta oilsands production, development of which began in the 90s, explaining most of the 35% increase of GHG emissions. Chretien supported this development because it was good for our economy which sorely needed a boost (remember the recession & deficit before Chretien/Martin?). Oilsands industry leaders now agree with Dion that the production needs to be made enviro sustainable.
incompetent idiot. liberals think like stereotypical americans, in that "they can do no wrong," well that's incorrect. They need more than just a year or two out of power to really change. I'm voting for the Conservatives because I believe in conservativism, but also to keep dithering morons like this from running the country.
his english is poor at best, just that disqualifies him as a serious candidate.

Really? I don't think it's too bad. You could barely understand Chretien with his Bell's Palsy :p

They agree that it needs to be made more sustainable, but they don't agree on the means to do so.
