I agree with you guys. It's almost offensive how in the middle of such deep and existential piece of music, where a human being is talking from the bottom of his heart, two assholes are speaking shit, caring a fuck about what they are hearing. But if you see it from above, you will realize a beautiful paradox that happens a lot in our lives: you undress your whole being, showing the most naked desire of your soul... hoping, maybe, to be listened and answered... but who cares?! How lonely we are!
From what I can see, Trent Reznor didn't even perform on that song, which is disappointing considering he wrote it at his lowest point with drugs and alcohol. It would make it seem so much more personal and incredible!
Yeah, there were quite a few idiots who continually talked shit all the way through it.
Dont quite understand that at all....the last time you'll ever see the band and all you wanna do is talk bollocks about fucking pizza?
I travelled from Scotland to see the gig....and it rocked, but having some daft girl babbling about how she loves "The Brits" during songs was more than a little annoying.
During the lights in the sky tour, during the ghost section I'd get cold chills and my jaw would just be hanging open. I was so amazed at the visuals and how awesome the band was playing those songs with totally natural instruments the whole time. Some of the crowd was talking and carrying on and acting bored. I looked at the person I was with and said something like "Don't worry, the dumb fucks can only seem to pay attention if they get to sing along" Sad how people can't enjoy instrumentals
Are those dumbass chick's talking about fucking dominoes pizza? It sounds like they're gossiping about their friends too.. How can they be talking in the first place? GOD DAMN IDIOTS!
@h3r35j0nnY i rarely reply to people's comments on my videos anymore.. but you hit the nail on the head with this one man. these chicks are talking about their DAY TO DAY bullshit in the middle of a song that's only been performed live TWICE. Who comes to a concert and talks about regular life shit??????
@synthetikz I was once at the great pyramids and the sphinx in egypt and idiots were talking about their day to day lives. some people (most people?) have no sense of wonder.
one of my faovurite NIN songs, so awesome to see them finally play it, though maybe not quite up there with the pyramids lol.
you are all right, half the crowd doesnt even appreciate what just happened to them. the crowd didnt do the song justice. NIN would be great to see in a symphony setting, where everyone was supposed to be quiet.
People need to shut up and listen. This is incredible, and genuinely a once in a lifetime experience unless you happened to catch the ONE other time they played it. Mind-blowing.
I too hate the talking during the slower, more moving songs. However, during Hurt, a few years in Pensacola, you could heard a pin drop...made me get goose bumps, EXCEPT for my then-boyfriend, who didn't get it...we broke up!
wow this one is worse than webster. the crowd starts clapping horribly out of rhythm on every recording i can find of that. this one is filled with talking and screaming like every other quiet song recording from normal large venues.
Best show of my life. I was in the pit the whole show, and during this song I saw 2 dudes smoking crack. Immediately a young kid yells "pass that shit" thinking its weed and at the same time they flashed him the "trix are for kids" face. Heartwarming and depressing. Too bad that kid didn't know, oh nevermind =),
Sorry. You will never attend a concert in which people properly respect the performer and other audience members. I am not sure if the corporatization/mass production of music is really to blame here, there seem to be deeper running issues. Maybe it's the individualistic culture, who knows. If he played this in Japan would the recording come out with loud talking and screaming? I'm gonna go search for some recordings from the Japan dates and test this theory
I saw Neurosis in 2006. The crowd were totally captivated an into the show COMPLETELY. This is a reare occurance at a show these days. Just thought this show being 'the most hardcore' fans would be different.

I was a little upset with all the talking. Show some respect. Enjoy the moment. LISTEN TO THE MUSIC. Am I wrong?

absolutely not.

agreed. people think its their time to shine during quiet songs. and fuck it up for everyone else in the process.
