Its been a whirlwind from a surprise diagnosis last week to a lumpectomy and unfortunately now to a clean sweep bilateral mastectomy next week due to more cancer than expected. I will be lucky to start the reconstruction while on the table but do worry since there will also be radiation as well as chemo and as I can see from your experience, this does complicate things. I also see thanks to you that there are options that can be waiting in the wings. Thanks so much,

Persevere and be strong! I'm currently undergoing this same procedure (on my scalp), and I know it can be tedious and intensely emotional! I have my final surgery in a month...I'm both excited and scared to see the results.
