The reason she sounds more strained in the recent tour stuff is that the newer songs are way more vocally challenging. (Try singing along to stuff on Fallen and then try Lithium or Your Star. It's tough! Plus, if you strain your voice on those first, even easy songs aren't so easy because you've messed up your voice- so if she does, say, Lithium, CMWYS, and Sweet Sacrifice, and then does something easier like BMTL, she's going to sound strained on BMTL too.) maybe voice techniques wise sharon is better, but i prefer amy's voice. it isn't light and airy. it is strong, and packed full with emotions. but oh well they're both great.

She is a great singer, admitted not th ebest, but she is pretty good.I mean, most singers sound like horrible live but in my opinion she sounds even better.I remember going to a concert of hers a couple months back with a friend that didn't care for Evanescence but after seeing her live she thought it was amazing.She won't listen to the C.D.'s but she loves to actually see them live.

Have you people noticed that there's always someone who says grammy awarded and multi platinum bands like Linkin Park and Evanescence (my favourite bands:))?? that's so annoying...In my opinion no known band sucks...I may not like it but that doesn't mean it suck does it? I never said she wasn't the engineer. She's cold, heartless and her lyrics are childish. When you grow up you'll realize how fake, over emotive and simple their songs are and you'll be embarrassed you ever liked them. It's not too late to burn your cd's, get a new user name and discover 'Real' music.

Sorry, but sadly there's little you can do trying to convence Evanescence fans why Evanescence sucks. It's a waste of time. Amy Lee's at least not like many of these other female artists who can't sing and have shitty lyrics. Amy Lee's just saying what she wants and if people are moved by her lyrics then what's wrong with that? But I'm glad there are still people who are cultured these days. With most of the popular music today, music is pretty much dead.

Musically they're rubbish. Lyrically they're rubbish. They're clearly motivated more by commercial success than actual musically integrity. Their music is simple and immature. Sure she might have a good voice but she has no talent as a musician.
