Dad is in the hospital right now. He only just made it through and although I might not get him back or completely back the way he was. Great song. I lost my dad to cancer in 2007. He hid it from us, I have no idea how he dealt with it alone? He got visibly sick February 26th, said he had bronchitis, he finally went to the hospital April 26th, and passed away May 26th. My dad was my hero and my best friend. Dad was my fishing buddy, a fan of my music, and my biggest supporter in recovery. I never thought about my world without him in it. It's still hard and almost not real at times. He was a good man and I'll always love him.

@brittany101890amya08 Stay strong. I know how hard it is. My father passed 1/11/00. 11 years ago. It will get a bit eaiser, but you will always have times where you break down and cry for him. He passed when I was only three, so you should at least be thankful that you got to have time with him. I didn't get that chance.

when i was only four i lost my dad to a very bad accedent . my mom got a phone call and than ran out side the was a cop at the gate waiting to tell her that my dad was dead it was horriable they would not let me say good bye to him my grandmother my dads mom said the doctor to pull the pulgs on him and not give him a chance to live or even breath on his own he was in a comma I DIDNT EVEN GET TO SAY GOODBYE i miss him very much

My dad died of Cancer June 20th, 2009 ~ 10 days after my birthday, and on fathers day. I miss you more and more daddy. Still feels like a nightmare.

My parent got devorced two years ago and I live at me dad ever since, my mother acts like I'm not her daughter, like she doesn't even know me. She only sends a birthday card, but that doesn't make you a mom. I was mad at her, I cried for her. But I'm over it now and I know I'll always have my daddy, I'll always be his little girl.

My parents divorced when I was young.
I cannot remember what a Father's love is like.
The lack of father's love has caused many problems in my life.
Luckily, I found God when I was invited to my friend's church camp.
Now, I have God as my Father. And I believe one day, I'll be able to know what a Father's warmth and embrace is like when I meet Him face to face in heaven.

between the ages of 12 to 18 i was so angry at my father. i played basketball and ran track(especially in high school)he made it to 1 b-ball game during 4 yrs(thats it)i thought he didn't care.as i got older i realized working a full time and a part-time yr after yr to support me my brother and sister to feed us clothe us and keep the lights on he loved me more than i could ever imagine.i made him retire at 62 and move in with me.since then(now 82)his job is to do anything he wants !!!

my dad just passed on Feb. 10, 2011, 1 month before my wedding. I last saw him on christmas 2011, it was so hard to walk down the isle without my daddy, i am 20 years old. my dad will never see me graduate college, or have kids, or get my career started... I am his only child and the only thing that kept him living as long as he did. my dad was 49, would have been 50 June 20. ..

Great song. I lost my dad to cancer in 2007. He hid it from us, I have no idea how he dealt with it alone? He got visibly sick February 26th, said he had bronchitis, he finally went to the hospital April 26th, and passed away May 26th. My dad was my hero and my best friend. Dad was my fishing buddy, a fan of my music, and my biggest supporter in recovery. I never thought about my world without him in it. It's still hard and almost not real at times. He was a good man and I'll always love him.

Says so much about my love for my newborn son, and also for my step son. My love for them both is endless. Never realised how strong love could be until recently.My wife...our sons.... they are more than my life, they are my reason for being born, for living, for everytihing I will ever do. To all those who lost their fathers, I'm deeply sorry but I want you to know that there is a loving Father who wants to heal you of your pain & fill your heart with love again, because He himself loves you so much. He is God. Though my biological father is still alive, God is my most loving Father who helps me in every trouble I get into & He has never let me down. He came into my life when I was in great pain and He healed me & gave me a new life full of His love. Just give Him your heart!

@brittany101890amya08 Stay strong. I know how hard it is. My father passed 1/11/00. 11 years ago. It will get a bit eaiser, but you will always have times where you break down and cry for him. He passed when I was only three, so you should at least be thankful that you got to have time with him. I didn't get that chance.

Thanks or sharing this video. I had heard Bob Carlisle's version but this video is much more compelling. Speaks to no only the loss of my own father but the responsibility that I have to my own children now to live up to the picture painted here. I do wish that the tumbling and floating letters were not there. A little disconcerting when watching a touching video like this !

I lost my dad just one month ago on 11-03-2010...he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer on 09-27-2010 and we were told we would have at least 4-6 months left with him..a very short 5 weeks later we lost him and it was the worst day in my life..i miss him so much it hurts..this song reminds me that regardless of what happened between my father and i..he always loved me and i always had his love with me wherever i was..

I dont think there are enough words to describe this amazing song. We go thru life and never really understand how much our Dads really care. It truly is a love so deep and so true that when you are a dad you finally come to realize theres nothing in the world that could come between you and your child. I love you dad, I may not say it enough, but thanks for being there thru all the ups and downs, I will eternily be grateful till the end of time that I have the honor of calling you my Father.

I lost 2 Dads within the last 3 yrs.! I just lost my biological Dad a month ago & I lost the Dad that raised me since I was 8 gonna be 3 yrs. this coming Oct. 17th. I feel so lost without both of them! They were both good to me!
