I think the people who see Tina Fey's performance as Sarah Palin as anything other than the standard SNL politico farce haven't actually seen or heard Palin speak. The mannerisms are all wrong, simply because Fey actually has two brain cells to rub together. Palin has no presence or articulation, and her inability to answer a yes or no question makes Paris Hilton look like Albert Einstein. Is it a upper-midwest accent? She was born in Idaho and grew up in Alaska. I lot of people get Idaho mixed up with Iowa and Ohio and think it's in the Midwest. I live in Idaho, and she doesn't sounds like most people here. Maybe she has an Alsakan accent.
Tina is perfect to play her. She's a very talented actress and they look so much alike. SNL isn't over here but I've seen the opening, it was hilarious.

I live in Alaska myself, and there truly isn't an 'Alaskan' accent. Her accent is definitely from Idaho (still lived with her parents in Alaska). I was born in Iowa and we moved here, so I can see how that happened.

if Obama actually got all of the $850 million from 2004-2007 (this is where McCain presumably came up with the $1 billion comment), that would equal to about $20-$25 per person versus the $4000 per person Palin requested JUST for this year.
