I assure you that economic sanctions did not prevent medical aid to Afghanistan since the Taliban does not provide medical aid. Food and other necessary items were dropped by planes to the people of Afghanistan during the same time as the suggested economic sanction. You can read that in Bush at War or other books. It helps to be educated in your comments, especially with the lack of personal and boots on the ground experience
@adsturm My Aunt ran an NGO in Afghanistan between 1992- 2001, they would traditionally have to purchase medical supplies and they would be deposited at Kandahar airplane by a cargo plane. When economic sanctions occurred this stopped and medical supplies decreased by 75-80% this forced her to have to purchase from Pakistani hospitals which also had deficits. The Med and Food that the U.N. would air drop went to areas controlled by Ahmad Shah Massoud. So your claim is misrepresentation
The only time when there was direct air drops of medical supplies in Taliban controlled areas of the country was JUST PRIOR to the U.S. Invasion. Prior to that it was mainly aid and supplies to support Warlord groups of the Northern Alliance who the U.S. had secretly allied with, this rarely went to civilians but Militia groups. The only thing Taliban restricted was male doctors, that's why my aunt went. So your claim is false , based on the explanation of NGO's in Afghanistan at that time.
This is a video about a burned baby in Afghanistan that recieved medical care from American to show that we are doing some good over there. She was not burned by because 80% of the country has no electricity resulting in a burning scarf from a kerosene lamp that was too close to her. The fact that your aunt was there proves as part of an NGO proves the original claim that she never would have recieved care under Taliban rule and since Afghanistan has no infrastructure. Go ask your aunt.
I dont have another video of her but I did see recent pictures of her. She is okay. She is still being seen at the now UN hospital and getting further surgeries. She now has teeth!
An Army plastic surgeon came for his tour scheduled to do his tour. He did some repairs to her lids so she could be able to close her eyes. she could see just fine all along but needed that.
However, i have not been able to find her since I left the country. I've heard stories that she gets treatment somewhere in the US and is in & out of hospital in Afghanistan. iIve tried following up but no luck. The song to the video was "god's own creation" it fit, but utube removed it.
you guys are awsome my son just got burnt and i thought he was bad but after seeing that baby he aint good on u guys for giving the baby love and attention
my thoughts are with your son and his healing. burns may damage flesh, but they should not be allowed to damage the human spirit. i hope that you and your son dont let that happen.
thats so sad that the babys have to suffer bc the war wont end god is ganna come back soon i just now it i bet is sick of the hurt that little chidren has to suffer
Muslims are downright evil. From beheadings to raping 12 year olds, I think it's time we intervene. These people are fucking insane and think they are involved in a cosmic war between good and evil.
poor baby. god bless her and the troops that cared for her and the doctors. funnyhow all of a sudden the parents coming back around i would never abandon my child no matter what
Blessings for the little angel. n Cordial Thanks to each n every person who served her. Sad but it declares Humanity still lives on our planet. Blessings! Blessings!! Blessings!!! to the cute little angel.
This baby was not burned by war. She was burned by a curtain that caught fire from a kerosene lamp in a very poor country where common people cannot afford electricity. Her life was saved by Americans and her Allies willing to sacrifice their lives and well being to give her and others the help they needed to live and thrive without threat of death as was under the Taliban. Otherwise, she would have been killed. She now receives treatment in the US & is doing well. Happy Memorial Day.
It's not up to me to make those big decisions. In the military, it's only up to me to support democracy, not practice it. But for you, practice away and feel free! =)
You need to stay on the current topic and not rant propagandas to people who saved this baby's life! There was always wars and there will be always wars! Peace? keep dreaming! never in human history has there been peace! and people like you who don't know when to rant propagandas and when to appreciate some humanity are the reason we will never have peace!
