  • BMG-WARNER-CBS-EMI all ASSHOLES

  • omg!! i CANT HEAR SHIT!!!! IM TRIPPIN BALLS ALREADY ARN'T I?? Oh.. no wait.. youtube fucked the video up... damnit -.-

  • no sound...

  • Dose 'em !!!!

  • This was a part of music history!!! When music evolved, and these money hungery basterds shut the audio down, oh but we can listen to the crap on the airwaves today? with all the no talent musicians that exist today. likeLady CaCA and others, why? because the one who run the music industery today HAVE NO EAR FOR TALENT! thay just want money and buy out raido stations to play thier crap and put it on tv and internet ads. Hell I bet if Elvis lived in this era he would never have a chance.

  • What a sad waste of time for you. Set out to produce a work ot art. Bureaucratic corporate morons, in pursuance of dubious 'rights' infringe your, as I see it 'fair use rights'. Ripped the heart, from your expressive homage; or original ‘work of art’. How the fuck did we let the bastards shut us down. More to the point; how the fuck did these protected artistes get famous in the first place; if not for individuals disseminating their media; via; soirees, lending, free advertising. Poor sheeple..

  • Hey guys. Like this post if you can so it'll get to the top. I made this video (i'm harusohmalvr- youtube won't let me login anymore. If you require further proof, look at my "Dance Ten; Looks Three" video on HSL and then at the ones here.)

I apologize for the music being removed and am going to do whatever I can to get this video uploaded in another place with the audio so you guys can get the full experience!

If you have any questions, message this username and I'll be happy to respond. :)

  • Isn't it funny that on Youtube in the 21st century, you can't hear music from a period when corporate control was considered evil and suppressive to art now prevents the music from playing because someone's palm isn't being crossed.

  • The copyright people haven't ever been on a trip yet.

  • Nooo the sound doesn't work! EXCELLENT piece of writing!!!!

  • What´s the band and the music at 0:58???

  • BREAK ON THROUGH TO THE OTHER SIDE!!!

  • Fuck i may only be eleven but my i grew up with oldies and 60's music such as the doors jimi hendrix the beatles credence clearwater revival and much more! I am so glad my dad showed me that music cuz if he didnt i would be into todays shit music.

  • @8skater2 if you're only 11 then you're not grown up yet.. haha but keep jammin' them tunes dude

  • @8skater2 you're not done growing up quite yet, but given the music taste you have at this point, you're gonna turn out to be one of the (few) respectable kids from your generation ^^

  • somebody should put in tomorrow never knows by the beatles

  • hey what was that song played whith the albums at the end. I think it was pink floyd but i dont know

  • Yeah...

    Cream!!!

  • i think that there really is not too much "true" psychedelic rock, but all the bands from that era kinda fall under that label, most of it was a more evolved version of folk rock or acid rock, which later jeff airplane, the doors, hendrix, all fall under the latter, pink floyd in 67 was more space rock. i think true blue psychedelic sutff would prob be like Sgt. Peppers or Her Satanic Majesties Request

  • hardley any of those were acid/ psychedelic rock

    wtf

  • Failure beyond belief

  • no echos by pink floyd? :(((

  • @dannyparent thats more in the prog rock vein

  • whats the song name on 1:01?

  • @666Pottichen666 white rabbit by jefferson airplane

  • @metalchango thanks

  • Alice, hell !!! Go ask .... Grace !!!!!!!

  • I thought that jimi hendrix ended the woodstock performance. i have a video of the jimi hendrix woodstock experience and michael lang talks about in the bounus features that he wanted jimi hendrix to end woodstock. btw why dont you put bob dylan in here. he was a big contribution and inspiration to the beatles and jimi hendrix

  • check out HELLFIRE SOCIAL

  • what is the song from cream ? :-O

  • @crazyvideoshow white room

  • @crazyvideoshow ......white room.... you seriousli probably arent a cream fan if you havent heard of white room....... no joke dude. just lettin you know

  • the person at 0:58 is that janis joplin? or am i an idiot?

  • @Metalhead001122

its the singer of jefferson airplane

  • @jonmacjonmac thanks

  • @Metalhead001122 you are an idiot¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • @juanasadiction no sir, you are...he's right.

  • @23Jarek23 no, that song is white rabbit by jefferson airplain, and the singer is grace slick; you aren't idiots, but I think that I'm right; excuse my english, I speak spanish.

  • @23Jarek23 no he is right

  • nice presentation, but I'd love to have seen Pink Floyd, Hendrix and Hawkwind in there

( even though hawkwind started out a few years later then all people mentioned in the presentation, they are still the greatest psychs to me )

  • At 3:30 It's Iron Butterfly

  • this aint psychadelic its cuntry

  • LUDES 1970

  • what's the band at 3:30?

  • BLUE CHEER!!

  • its joan baez not john and the doors were very psychedelic ever heard of something called LSD? its a PSYCHEDELIC drug which was jim's favorite until he picked up drinking

  • No Hendrix, no Floyd. it's understandable that there's no Blue Cheer, but you should listen to them if you're into acid rock. and one more thing, why do people have to put SO many different lables on all the different "genres" of rock? Why can't we just call it rock. god everybody has to overcomplicate things

  • what's the name of the song at 0:58 ??

  • @rolisygabo Jefferson Airplane-White Rabbit

  • @TheRioRiot96 thanks... my dad told me after publish that XD... thanks anyway :D

  • @rolisygabo ha your welcome

  • ~...Alice in Wonderland! .."in The Garden of Eden!...LOVING God!...~

  • "Tommy" definitely wasn't the first full-scale Rock Opera. Check out "S.F. Sorrow." The Pretty Things are (in my opinion) much better than the Who (and unarguably more psychedelic).

  • can you make a list with the bands and names of songs ?

  • when listing the founders of rock, why wasn't chuck berry on there?

  • ahh... I didn't mean to double post. I didn't think the first one showed up.

  • I'm well aware of the history of Psychedelic Music. Whos to say what songs are Psychedelic and what songs are not ? How many times have you pulled spirals out of your Forehead with your fingers ? How many times has the front of your brain felt like it had a Foreheadrgasm ? I don't need any list to tell me what songs are psychedelic.

  • I Don't know why your barking up my tree. You need to mellow out, pull a spiral out of your Forehead with your fingers, let the rupturing feeling burst out of your Forehead so the Front of your Brain gets that feeling like it had a Foreheadrgasm. lol. Whos to say whats Psychedelic and whats not ? I'm well aware of the History of Psychedelic music.

  • A lot of The Doors Music is Trippy. You can tell just by the way it sounds.

  • The Dead- The Who ?? You are mistaking music from that time period with bands who did not play Psychedelic music Where is Hawkwind the mother of all psyche bands?? Ultimate spinach< Electric Prunes<Mothers,Amon Dull ii VELVET UNDERGROUND Well you got one right wow Your list is a little better but you have got a lot to learn.TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN BEFORE YOU MAKE A FOOL OUT OF YOURSELF.I mean a post is having something to say or teach is it not??

  • in contrast to The Doors you have Jimi Hendrixes music for example. Hendixes music is more cartoonish, melty and under the sea.

  • Yes, The Doors were psychedelic. Jim Morrison used to do a lot of acid along with a lot of drinking, but he also hated hippies. As you were saying anyway you were going for the hippie vibe which is colorful and electric. The Doors music sounds like a Diamond studded dark ride threw outerspace. Well for the exception of "Strange Days" by The Doors that song sounds more underwater.

  • @OrbitalCoaster420 NOT !! They were straight up rock. They had a few moody songs that looked good under black lights and from that time but they were based in jazz and blues. .They were 1000 years away from psychedelic rock. Go listen to some early Pink Floyd or velvet underground or lesser known bands . Take a half hour to find out who WAS making psychedelic music. People have made lists for you. It was GREAT music! God It is all right in front of you LEARN

  • @TheJetfighter666 The End, The Crystal Ship, End Of The Night, Moonlight Drive, Strange Days, I Can't See Your Face in My Mind, When The Musics Over, Not To Touch The Earth, Waiting For The Sun, Riders On The Storm, Blue Sunday, just to name a few psychadelic doors songs. Oh and check out celebration of the lizard and quit being so negative and putting a good video down.

  • @happywarmgun13 The Doors were many thing but psychedelic wasn't one of them. Maybe one day you will know as much about music as I do. Start with Jazz and Blues .Then you will know the Doors.

  • Where's 13th Floor Elevators, man?

  • why did you name Sgt. Pepper's.... but not Revolver? That does not make any sense at all.

  • how can be Bill Hailey psychedelic????

  • @k0stil

Exactly ..it is not ...people still dont know what psychodelic means

  • 3:33 song anyone ?

  • what song and artist is that @ :59?

  • @neversaynever234

White Rabbit by The Jefferson Airplane

  • That video took me on a good trip.

  • hello...come si chiama la canzone del video dei grateful dead.grazie mille...

  • who did this song and what is it called?

    at 2:17.

  • @TheGreenBlackbird: its white room by cream, great band

  • Check out the music of Miguel Kertsman. If you liked this video, you'll definitely enjoy it! - MK Marketing Team

  • See my friends by the kinks, not one of the earliest examples of psychedelic music?

  • I was born in 53, so I was immersed in the evolution of what is called "psychedelic" rock. Despite the cliche', LSD was crucial in that evolution.

  • Beatles ftw. Listen to Strawberry fields bitch!!

  • Interesting you said the Beatles did not focus on psychedelic rock but many of the key elements of psychedelic rock were introduced by the Beatles, Like guitar feedback, the sitar, guitars and vocals spiralling bacwards, fuzz bass and vocals through leslie speakers. The use of the studio as an instrument like backward music, loops and vari-speeding for psychedelic purposes was basically started by the Beatles. I think you are sort of diminishing their influence IMO.

  • what is the song beginning at 1:52?? cream?? thanks...

  • white room :)

  • very interesting!!

  • doors, pink floyd, velvet underground, hendrix, doobie brothers, status quo???

not a bad summary of psychedelic rock though

  • You forgot "Niandra Lades & Usually Just a T-Shirt" and "Smile From The Street You Hold" by John Frusciante, this is the most fuckin' raw psychodelic stuff ever made and sold.

  • This is a perfect example of how music was back in this time period. It was more about quality music and having a good time, rather than making money. If you would like to hear some more good music check out my channel. :)

  • ELVIS??? REALLY??? LOL

  • how can u not have pink floyd in this

  • the doors

  • kyuss and hendrix need to be on here

  • Strawberry Fields Forever! Woo- HOO!

  • i was there man in san fran when it all went down!

  • I just muted your acid rock show once I found out it is in fact not acid rock in which you post.I in put on country joe and the fish songs janis and eastern jam because they are acid rock.Give a listen to them and you will see what acid rock really is and when the extreme fuzz tone kicks in if you do`nt get goose pimples it`s because you can`t find real acid any more.Magoo is another by the same band that is pretty good .Check them out and let me know what you think.

  • I would say fuck you but people like you keep the peace from flowing threw the world. man

  • no no you got me wrong, i am for the peace, but i just think some hippies are just to lame

  • you're right, hippies vere fucking....GOOD

Long live band like The Doors, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience!

  • @iuisss The doors, and pink floyd, and the beatles...weren't hippes.

the beatles did protest music, but weren't in the American Hippie Movement.

pink floyd were rookies during the hippie movement and got famous after the hippie movement.

    The doors....were ROCKERS!

  • + NEVER FORGET THEIR PEERS : IRON BUTTERFLY

They´re pretty much the source of modern HardRock and Metal

  • @iuisss

Can´t believe IRON BUTTERFLY wasn´t mentioned.

Probably cause they never got a big machinery behind them

  • @iuisss

hell yess :) those bands aree pretty groovy

  • @iuisss +Jefferson Airplane!

  • Can't believe Jimi Hendrix wasnt mentioned. :S

  • @RastafariPoet

Jimi Hendrix wasnt mentioned because it isn't psychedelic music. If you think about it. It is Heavy Blues (Rock).

He only has like 1 or 2 songs about drugs.

  • @teckdecker3000

You should listen to him work the whammy bar. If that isnt psychedelic, then...

  • @RastafariPoet at 8:30 in the top 25 albums, Jimi Hendrix "are you experienced"

  • Comment removed

  • @RastafariPoet he was at 8:29

  • @RastafariPoet

Can´t believe IRON BUTTERFLY wasn´t mentioned.

Probably cause they never got a big machinery behind them

  • good job man =)

  • A great Video. I am was a little young for a lot of these bands when they were great. More my husband's era. I grew up listening to these bands, but not old enough to see them in concert. What a bummer.

  • where the fuck is hawkwind space ritual? i demand to see the manager.

  • hey!

tell me, what's the name of the 5th song?

    ...can't remember ^^"

    thank you

  • BEATLES :)

  • I was only 4 years old the first time hearing 'In A Gadda Da Vida" on the car radio with my Mom as she screamed with excitement and we rushed home to tell the Grandparents that I had just heard my Father playing Keyboards and sing his new song on the radio. It was a big deal and a memory I will never forget.

  • dont you think you have posted that comment on enough videos?

  • pretty trippy stuff!! check out "stoned on LSD" on youtube.

  • Just recently a drug advisor to the British Government after research said that LSD is more safer than alcohol and tobacco

  • Whether it's safe or not couldn't matter less. It is not the governments right to tell you what you can put in your body, period.

  • Soo very true,and i totally agree.

  • whats the song at 2:15,and 3:23,

  • It´s Cream´s "White Room", Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce & Ginger Baker, it´s not psychedelic, it´s the beginning of heavy metal, as the following song "In a Gadda da Vida"

  • I wouldnt agree to that statement about Cream. If anything a band like MC5 was a beginning of metal.

  • I.m afraid you are confused between punk and heavy metal. MC5 as the Stooges, was the beginning of punk rock. Cream , as Hendrix; was a major influence to bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath or Deep Purple

  • So you're telling me that Cream was not pyschedelic. I'm sure if you asked Bruce, Clapton, or Baker if they were intending on starting a heavy metal trend they would disagree completely. And if that's what they were planning on doing then why didn't Clapton or Bruce make any heavy metal music on their solo albums?

  • well ...is cream ...ok , but isn´t de beggining of metal , you can talk about deep purple(veavy) , black sabbath(doom-heavy),steppenwolf, etc

  • this is not psy! it's just blues and crap!

  • whit rabbit !! Ilove acid =p

  • mushrooms are better!

  • Hoo yes, I like mushrooms =)

  • Hey we're Medusa's Playpen, check us out sometime. Have a beautiful day

    Amazing video!

  • I like how it says in the info column; "Bill Hailey created what would become one of the most influential genres of music of all time It was called Rock And Roll."Um...Robert Johnson, Huddie Ledbetter, Big Bill Broonzy, Howlin' Wolf, and most notably Muddy Waters...I'm pretty sure they had NO hand in creating rock and roll

  • yeaaaa the beatles... the best

  • Tommy???? Tommy??? YOU ARE REALLY REACHING

  • Really! There's NOTHING psych about THAT album!!

  • Don't appoligise for callin' the Fancy Lad an asshole...He is. You wasted several seconds with elvis, the comets et al. (I Ment small letters) stick to the 60s. Or never post again. Don't bother replying because I dont care what you have to say ever again.golden road grateful dead

  • For starters i think ur just an asshole for having elvis first but the rest of the songs are rockin and u are rite about jim morrison not his style at all man just kiddin bout the asshole thing:).

  • I was discussing 50's music and how it led up to the 60's in the beginning.

  • I'm not so sure Bill Haley was the first one to do rock & roll. Ever hear of Louie Prima? Before him, there was a girl group (like The Andrews Sisters) called The Boswell Sisters who put out an album in the `40's called, "Rock & Roll".

  • Felt weird that you have "hound dog" as a intro to a psychedelic video, I mean where is the psychedelic feel in that song? It's just pure rock 'n' roll. Otherwise great work!

  • It's not psychedelic. It's discussing 50's music.

  • oh... okey. I was misled by the title. ..

  • and...THE DOORS??? :(

  • yeah, where is The Doors????

  • The doors weren't psychedelic. (Apparently)

From what reading I've been doing on

The Doors, Jim Morrison hated hippies. I was going for a hippie vibe in this presentation, so I didn't include them.

  • What is more psychedelic than "The End"? Or "When the music's over", the list is endless. One thing you're partially right is that The Doors didn't enjoy the whole hippie thing, they didn't hate it, it's just that they're style doesn't fit in and was never meant to be part of the hippie movement, they can be very obscure and dark sometimes. And i think this is the reason you didn't include them in your video. The Doors are unmatched and can't be compared to anything.

  • Let's see, the entire CD version of "S. F. Sorrow", the Tomorrow album, the Rainbow Ffolly album, nearly any early Pink Floyd or Kaleidoscope (U.K.) track, The Pillbugs, Vibrasonic, Kula Shaker, The Beatles, The Dukes Of Stratosphear, hell, even the first 2 albums by the Bee Gees are more psych than, "The End". I've got a list of about 115 CD's worth of psych that I put together and "The End" isn't on that list.

  • Not that I think you did a bad job with the video (I enjoyed it immensely)

But I don't think you'd need to be a hippie to be psychedelic. The Doors had a song called Shaman Blues for chrissakes! And Break on Through? Hell, the name of their band comes from the Doors of Perception, doesn't it?

My guess is that they just hated young people getting gross and not doing anything.

But not including them for the sake of keeping it hippie makes sense.

  • I think The Doors music and lyrics are very much abstract and complex than songs like "Mind Flowers" by Ultimate Spinach, i love that song but please, seems like he's reading a book by Timothy Leary. Plus, i like it dark and mysterious, humorous and bluesy.

  • They had a couple of good psych tunes, but not many.

  • we've found it :)

  • which band is plaing at 3:20?

  • Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida- Iron Butterfly

  • Comment removed

  • no jimi hendrix, doors and the beatles??? fuck this presentation.

  • I'm sorry I couldn't include everything. Both Hendrix and the Doors are in the album list, but there is an entire section of the Beatles.

  • Comment removed

  • Can you please name all of the songs in a reply? I wasnt able to read the credits in the green, i am colourblind or something i think:P
