  • slower tempo is Knopflers thing here, because he starts to play, but i agree, claptons guys are more bluesy

  • I like it!

  • wonderful

  • 2:50 look at that mama shes got stickin' in the CAMEVA!

  • Slap base

    I like the original more

  • almost all songs in this concert are played slower than the original...

  • Ídk why it is that he sounds different. Note that he gets older.

  • Knopfler sounds so different...

  • female backups singing "i want my mtv" as if it were a lullabye, can't stand it... I like the DS guys doing it, better still Sting... sounds edgy and with more bite to it.

  • what happened to THE LITTLE FAGGOT ?

  • Mark makes playing the guitar look so effortless at the beginning.

  • this version is a bit like a swing version but it really grooves ;-)

  • they need to tour together!!!! NOW!!

  • why is it that everytime knopfler plays money for nothing with clapton that its a slower tempo?

  • @tannerr96 - It's Clapton's band, and it becomes more "bluesy" as someone wrote.

  • @DogSwede1 oh alright. that makes sense. i like it better the original and faster tempo

  • Slowhand..?

  • @ParoniSamisto if you knew how he got that nickname you would know that it has nothing to do with how he plays. he got that name changing a broken string and the sudience started applauding slowly thus he got the name slowhand. thanks for tring to be a smartass though. maybe next time

  • 2 guitar players doing what they do

  • For all we know, Mark could just be improvising the solo LOL

  • Clapton and Knopfler rules!

  • Great video. I love it. Nadine

  • 2:43

I'm maybe weird but I think that second is amazing!

  • That second Is amazing! You can see knopfler feels the same way!:D Also a great "second": the guitar at 4:13

  • @Granada28 The whole song is full of great seconds. I dare say every second is great.

  • @DogSwede1 you're not weird lol

  • @DogSwede1 Agree. I would say that for the whole assolo. It remainds to me of the Knebworth '90 concert. Both solos, from EC and MK are even more interesting on that occasion

  • @DogSwede1 Mark's double stops are the reason I'm playing.

  • This is about the same speed as in the studio version.

  • Yes, too slow, but anyway it's good :)

  • Great job for uploading this concert ,i really like it.Besides Mark Knopfler Eric Clapton is also good.

  • is it just me or is the tempo a little slow? oh well it's clapton and knopfler... great anyway!

  • yeah, i think it's much slower than in other shows.

  • Knopfler always playes money for nothing a little slower when he is with eric clapton, it more "bluesy" that way
