i bought a NETGEAR - 802.11g Wireless Router

the first on on the back of the box.and i have problems with mw2 lagging. i bought it 3 weeks ago and the 2 weeks i had the modem i had full bars on mw2 and now i have 1 fucking red bar.! i don't play wireless i play with a cable.!HELP ME

@QuiCkScOpeZII510 Ok so you just changed the password for connecting to the modem? or did you change the password for connecting to your ISP? (the part where you type in your email and password for connecting to the internet).

As for the modem/router thing it doesn't really matter :P

@Komradz A new modem should fix the problem, it really depends which one you get though. However most new modems generally would be able to support multiple consoles :)

no but on a serious note all ISPs stink, I had an unlimited usage plan and now I'm on a 100 gb plan as well, now you have a powerful computer is there any point in your PS3? or is that only for sony exclusives?

As for the power of the PC over the PS3, well i just like having both. Not all my friends have a gaming PC and it is nice to just play on PSN with them, also split screen is great (MW2 split screen). However yes I do find myself questioning whether to play it on PS3 or PC ... so i just end up playing on both. FPS is just better on pc, but that doesn't mean it still isn't good on PS3 and Vice versa with racing :) Also console exclusives are part of it.

Well i wouldn't say its a shit modem at all: 8 Mbps download speed and 1.5 upload. I have never had a fast connection like this one before, so i guess thats just your opinion??

I had like awful connection problems with it, the speed was fine but like the security on it caused the nat type to be 3 constantly. So yeah i bought this netgear one :)

No mine is a Netgear router upgraded from my last model. And my NAT has always been on open status, so you might be doing something wrong some where along the line? Check your settings on yur computer..

Nope, the netgear modem is perfect. Getting Nat type 2 :) It was just the old speedstream modem which was giving me trouble.
