This has to be the hardest Sonic boss since the death egg robot in Sonic 4! It really is a difficult boss to beat and it's not just cheap, it's really tactical!
eggman built the egg dragoon with the sole purpose of defeating sonic every last bit of information and data egg man had on sonic went in to the egg dragoon the reason it was beat in unleashed was cause eggman had never faced the wearhog so it failed and he said it was just a prototype and the real version would be complete soon that is what you vs in generation and thats why this boos takes more hits than the time eater and is the best boss in generation (sorry for the paragraph )

Music is great, although after watching the boss on youtube, i thought it would play a bit better. Overall i thought the bosses were very disappointing, as well as the stages selected
@HyperSonicN1 There were none from the Gamegear, gameboy games (which are some of the better games), Imagine recreations of Aqua Lake Scrambled Egg Mecha Green Hill Zone, Techno Base, Chaos Angel zones. The variety of stages included didn't fit together well, too many similar
@Invertedzero Gameboy/Gamegear SHOULD have been in the 3DS version, but they decided to only put 7 stages instead of 9 like in the console version. Even if I haven't played all of the stages that you mentioned, I have seen some of them, I think they are good. Let's hope for DLCs

DLCs have to be already in the game for them to work, so putting in new stages would take a lot of data then Generations already has, there ARE no DLCs other than Casino Night so far and that was for an award that you can't achieve anymore.

@TehComentar While it's true that too many scripted events get boring if there is not enough gameplay, but I think that some of it actually make a game better: for example, in Sonic Adventure, in some places scripted events would have been useful in Sonic levels and for some occasions in which you can easily die by pressing a button (e.g. the tornado in Windy Valley)
@thewunderfulfryou The egg dragoon is just another advance robot that can also be splitted in 2 robots. It fires missles and ice beams eggman tries to hit you with. A good way to dodge that special attack with a full spread out lazer is to hop on one of the grinding rails and moving from 1 rail to the other to dodge just in case.

Sonic Unleashed (PS2 version) was the first Sonic game I got! And Egg Dragoon was one of my favorite bosses. I now currently own SU, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog (Beaten XD), Sonic Colors (Unlocked Super Sonic XD), and All of the Sonic Genesis games on Wii Virtual console (Minus CD and Chaotix DX)

I already liked the Unleashed version of the Egg Dragoon theme and boss fight, but Generations somehow managed to make it even better.
Is it just me, or does the majority of the best boss fights in Sonic's history involve Dr Eggman?

Sonic Unleashed (PS2 version) was the first Sonic game I got! And Egg Dragoon was one of my favorite bosses. I now currently own SU, Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog (Beaten XD), Sonic Colors (Unlocked Super Sonic XD), and All of the Sonic Genesis games on Wii Virtual console (Minus CD and Chaotix DX)

Sonic is the worst video game character known to society. All Sonic games are massive failures and they all deserve to be incinerated in neverending hellish fire.
