I've watched this video and basically it gives nothing away. Shows about 10% of the games premise.

I think I played something vaguely similar to that in the game. But maybe not. :p The anime shorts are interesting. They use characters, ships, and events from the game but they get the details wrong, most likely intentionally.

you can also move closer to and further away from the enemy ship. you can board the enemy ship (not sure how). then its a complicated version of rock\paper\scissors. i hope this will get you to buy this game, and for all those troll who say this is fake and gay, this is 0% bullshit unless i say so (which i do in the brackets)

after that the gameplay is straightforward and simple, travel around (its a little hazy on the details here). battles occur randomly, but not too frequently, usually 1-2 times a jump(travelling from planet to planet). in battle you its kind of like final fantasy 4, wait for the command gauge to fill up to to actions (different actions require different amounts of command points). continued on next comment again

this game promises to be the best rpg\strategy of the year. you start out with only one ship blueprint, but there are about 100 total. each ship is individually and overcomplicatedly customized, along with 250 crew member (i think thats right, not sure) for each ship. continued on next comment.
