DId it germinate? Do you have pictures? I want to plant a walnut tree too! But I heard that thier roots are "toxic" to other plants and what not.

I have walnut, chestnut, apple, peach, citrus, avocado, mango, plum, cherry and a whole bunch more grown from fruit I eat. It's crazy!

Most seeds you find in store bought fruits usually don't germinate and those that do, don't come out as the tree you thought you'd get because most are root stock so you'd be getting that tree of the root stock.

The trick is you have to refridgerate them for two weeks otherwise they don't germinate and the same goes for peaches, apples, plums, etc.

I plant trees, it's one of my hobbies.

You must keep them in a fridge for at least two weeks for them to germinate. Take them out and keep in moist cotton inside on a warm but not hot spot and they will grow.
